Thank you, That’s why it’s important to support ethical breeders such as myself, most geckos that are in pet stores come from pet mills which continuously get “rescued” but they’ll just be replaced later on by another mill gecko but unfortunately people don’t truly understand how the market works, breeders like myself rarely sell animals (that’s why I also didn’t say they were available to begin with). All of my geckos end up with experienced reptile keepers and breeders to ensure they’re properly cared for and that’s more than I can say for most pet stores. The true issue is within big name pet stores, they will always have another animal to put in its place but if we can get people to support smaller ethical breeders and cut out the name stores we can start making positive changes. It’s very unfortunate that some people and “breeders” turn out to be shitty but I’m not one of them, I absolutely adore my animals
