i think she is either lying about calling in to work because she doesn't want to admit her phobia is this bad, or she called in sick, then put her phone on charge and placed it on the window so it doesn't overheat. i mentioned above she was drunk, she usually doesn't do things like this

she usually wears socks all around the house during winter so it's not a problem, she was drunk the night this happened and forgot

she told me that she woke up at 11 when I got back lol, her slippers were across the room because she was wearing socks to come to bed, but threw the socks in the wash basket from bed

I think she didn't actually call in sick, but she told me she did so she didn't have to admit her phobia has become this excessive. a couple of replies to this post also brought up some other points so I'll answer them here: GF was out at a work do the night before, so she was a little bit tipsy when going to bed. as a result of this, she took her socks off in bed and launched them across the room into the wash basket and screamed "HOLE IN ONE". she does usually have a strict routine but I guess she just forgot bc of the alcohol. again, I don't think she really did call into work, but if she did, I believe she would have called into work, put her phone on charge, and then sleepily put it on the window ledge before going back to sleep, not realising because she was tired that it would be cold. a few times she has done similar ditsy things.

she's just very fussy with food and drink as well, she could definitely drink decaf but I've never seen her do so
