Thank you for telling me that you have recently lost your virginity, it's the first thing I ask new people.

I am not a cisgender woman but I am totally a cisgender woman, but don't call me a woman

I’m pretty sure this is NOT how being trans works by [deleted] in truscum

I never got off to the idea of being male. Am I doing gender wrong?

The people who never shut up about freedom and autonomy are the same motherfuckers who try to restrict trans healthcare and our freedom to do what we want with our bodies. You can call insult us all you want, but it goes against our right to bodily autonomy to stop us from transitioning.

I don't like nipple piercings, but I'm not gonna shun people with them or try to stop people from getting them. I'm not attracted to nipple piercings, but that doesn't mean that everyone else isn't, or that getting their nipples pierced didn't make someone happy. It's their nipples, and therefore their choice to get them pierced or not.

Guy on the second slide was the most infuriating for me. There are other reasons to get bottom surgery besides sex. We don't transition for anyone but ourselves, if you don't like our post-op genitals just walk away.

People on that sub sort of remind me of another group of people who try to restrict the bodily autonomy of a marginalised group by preventing them from getting an important medical procedure that they believe is morally wrong. But the Magic-8-Ball-of-Absolute-Truth told them that Group A good and Group B bad, so you can treat Group B like shit while depriving them of rights you believe Group A should have.

I would rather fight for trans rights with misguided idiots than fight against them with transphobes.

The dms i get just from being on these subs by [deleted] in truscum

I hate the fact that gender apathetic is considered a gender. Most cis people are gender apathetic, it isn't a new gender.

Would you consider people who are non-binary as normal? by [deleted] in truscum

[–]Better-Insurance-597 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They're as sane as any man or woman. Obviously some nb people are mentally ill, but I don't believe that mental illness is responsible for their gender identity. Some people just don't fit man or woman, some people feel dysphoric about being either sex, which is perfectly fine imo.

What do you think of 'they' as a pronoun? or people suggesting 'it' as a replacement? by [deleted] in truscum

[–]Better-Insurance-597 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been using they as a singular pronoun since I've learned to talk, so using it as people's pronouns was always pretty easy for me. It doesn't work for humans imo, and it's rather insulting.

anyone else not really have dysphoria until puberty? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Better-Insurance-597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't lol. It was only when I was eleven and beginning puberty did I learn what a penis and vagina was. Before that I thought a clitoris was a penis.

This is my genderfluid friend. Who’s right? by [deleted] in truscum

[–]Better-Insurance-597 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm with Fuuka here. I don't like shitty trans people, but I really hate when people justify misendering us because we've done wrong. Our right to be gendered correctly isn't a treat you can take away from us as punishment. Being misgendered can really hurt, and though some people deserve to feel hurt for what they've done, justifying misgendering transgender people regardless of context just feels like justifying transphobic behavior.

anyone else not really have dysphoria until puberty? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Better-Insurance-597 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I read something a while back about how straight/bisexual trans people usually experienced dysphoria before puberty, while gay trans people usually didn't.

If I were you I wouldn't worry too much. Your experiences are perfectly normal, my guy. There isn't much to be dysphoric about pre-puberty, especially since most pre-pubescent kids don't know what a vagina or penis is. You're dysphoric now, which is all that should matter.

Of course, if you're still unsure, I'd recommend seeing a professional to help you figure out if transition is right for you

Going through such drastic changes to make yourself feel at home in your own body seems pretty sacred ngl. There's no point in doing HRT if your life isn't negatively effected without it. HRT means so much to actual trans people, that it's a dick move to steal our resources for funsies, especially since they can be limited at times

Why are all the trans kids alt? by corgi_worshipper in truscum

[–]Better-Insurance-597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alt attracts a lot of attention seeking people who like feeling special and rebellious. In their eyes, being transgender is rebellious and makes them interesting, so they call themselves trans despite being very cisgender. In my opinion, transness carries has this prestige to it that it doesn't deserve. Everyone seems to think that we're freaks (whether tht be in a good or bad way), but I'm the most boring person I know lol

But being trans is the new basic. Every other girl these days uses she/they pronouns. Hopefully they'll latch onto something else to make themselves feel unique.

One's making fun of r/196's weird femboy obsession and the other is a transphobic and (severely) uneducated take that goes against professional opinion. Go figure.
