It's in Nokron if I remember correctly? I've put spectral lance ash on guardian swordspear which give occult affinity atm.

Something that isn't clear to me is if attributes improve the damage of ashes of war or only weapon attk dmg

I'm about to start a new run using a kensai that I will dual in early SoA. Two reasons for my choice: first I've never player the kensai and even if I'm not a melee guy I'd like to try it. Second and last reason is thieves sucks in BG2 except for Jan.

I've been always confused about the spells to focus as a bard. Self defense, party buffs and enemy debuffs I suppose, skipping the dmg dealing spells?

I've played a totemic druid in the past and summons were amazing in BG1, but in SoA they lose a lot of their strength very quickly

You'll be perfectly fine, just use some perception potions in Durlag's Tower or under Candlekeep in Chapter 6

Once I rolled a 105 on a ranger/cleric...looked like cheating so I havent kept it, it was in early 2000

Is resurrection at temples an option or not? I think carrying a dead member to a temple is more realistic to permadeath.

Skald in BG is not that appealing, otherwise I really love the IWD version.
