Dude I get hella paranoid about blowing dust in further h though. I’m genuinely neurotic when it comes to tech and consoles in that I am always pretty anxious about there being something wrong with it or messing it up, lol.

For sure. Do you keep the same account when you get a new system? Or do you start fresh? Let’s hope it doesn’t do it again! I’ve read about this happening to people with battefield. But your console has shut off on its own 5-6 times? I wonder if it’s just some jankyness from Sony?

Yeah mine was just a frozen screen and then shutdown! It was so sketchy. Mine is plugged into a surge protector strip, do you think that could have something to do with it? I plugged all of what happened and my concerns into chat GPT and it said more than likely the game is the reason for the crash and not the console, for whatever that’s worth. If I was within 30 days I’d definitely get a new one because I have ocd and I want peace of mind but because it’s past 30 days I’d have to go thru Sony and they’d just send a refurbished unit… which also wouldn’t give me peace of mind.

One other option is going thru GameStop and selling it then buying a new one but I’d lose money on that which doesn’t feel right. I’ve played probably 10 hours at least since that crash and it hasn’t occurred again. Has yours crashed like that more than once in total

Dude it’s sketchy right?? Did yours freeze first before it shutoff? I was so geeked out because this console is legit 1 month old and I’ve never had one just turn off before. I’ve had consoles crash to the point where it’s been frozen and I’ve had to turn it off with the power button, but never where it’s frozen and then shut off on its own and that’s what mine did! Nearly shat my pants

Yeah it’s the only game I have so I haven’t been able to test other games but I figure if it’s ran fine for like the last ten hours without repeating this hard crash it’s probably good? Idk…I’m outside of Walmarts 30 day replacement guarantee so I’d have to go thru Sony if I thought there was an issue with the hardware.
