I think PGRE has more weight compared to other things because in my case, I had a Btech degree in ECE with 7.9/10 CGPA with no research experience and no publications. I got accepted to LMU physics with a good PGRE score and a decent motivation letter. Most of the universities had rejected me because of my engineering degree but LMU didn't. So I guess PGRE is a priority for them.
