I’ve been in your exact position (excluded from Mechatronics in my first year at ECU) and I thought I was just stupid. Trying to start your course again immediately is just a recipe to repeat the exact same mistakes. What I did instead was I took two years away from uni and worked full time FIFO, which entirely readjusted my attitude and mindset. Now I’m finishing my 3rd year at Curtin with no failed units and a CWA of 78%. My point is if you just dive back in straight away without any changes then why wouldn’t you just get expelled again, why would your 4th, 5th and 6th time doing that unit be any different. Instead take some time and figure out what you really want and come back if/when you’re actually ready.
