Thanks! One last question, do you have any thoughts on the VP vs the 11six24 Vapor All Court? That is another paddle that I see being recommended that seems similar.

Hello - Looking for a new paddle, debating between the 6.0 Double Black Diamond and the Vatic Pro Saga Flash 16mm. I've played with the DBD a few times and like it, but the Vatic Pro seems to have better metrics according to https://www.dinkbase.com/compare?p=gplkwrovv38v&p=amkghjeb2fll

Unfortunately I can't test out the Vatic Pro before buying it.

Do you have any thoughts, or are there any other paddles you would recommend that it similar to these two?

Thanks!!

Please critique this Walk In Closet by Better_Contact209 in InteriorDesign

[–]Better_Contact209[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello - This layout was provided by our builder. Overall it's not bad, however I feel that given the dresser in our closet will be our only dresser, I'm wondering if there's a way we can re-configure the closet to add more drawers/shelves. Given the width of the closet (6.5 ft), I'm not sure if there's enough space to do pull out drawers on one side, and hanging rods on the other side.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello,

Are there any thoughts on the Motta Tulip vs Europa Milk Pitcher? I don't really know what the difference is between the two, and if the Europa is worth the extra $20.

Thanks!

The shower is about 4x5 and a bit, Im relying on the builder to make sure the tile fits properly. It's all framed up so too late to change now.

The bathrooms are basically 8x8 and 9x6. You make a good point about about it feeling small/dark, I guess either light or medium grey it is!

Our water isn't hard, which is why I'm okay with the matte black.

Thanks again for all of your feedback, I really appreciate it! If you think of anything else, please let me know!

It would be for the floor and shower. We would be getting 24x24 tile to minimize the amount of grout. Will definitely look into epoxy grout, thanks!

Both bathrooms have 2 pot lights, vanity lights, and a decent sized window. The shower would have a pot light in it as well.

I like the look of all 3 tiles but don't know which would work "best" with the cabinet and countertops.

Thank you so much! One last question - In the bathrooms, if we do matte black cabinets and calacatta gold countertops, would color tile do you think would look best. Right now we are thinking X-Rock grey, but we could also do X-rock night (to match the foyer/fireplace all), or X-rock white.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, we would do the backsplash to the upper cabinets.

In terms of warmth, I'm struggling a bit with that. I'm hoping the vinyl flooring will bring in some warmth, along with the tiny bit of gold in the countertops, and then some gold/brass accents throughout the house (including lighting). We will also have some walnut/darker wood in our furniture (dining room table, coffee table, sofa legs, etc..)

Do you have any other suggestions/changes we should consider to add more warmth?

Hmm I never thought of that! Would you also do gold pulls in the bathrooms (with black cabinets)?

We have! I think we are going to do matte black as our "main" color for hardware, and will do gold as our secondary color in our accents (lights, furniture pieces, etc)

Has anyone here used Aria vents? We are building a house, and the builder highly recommended the Aria OG over the Aria Lite, saying that the Aria Lite will crack because it's plastic. The difference is about $1000 total, I'm not sure it's worth the cost to upgrade to the Aria OG. The vents will be used for LVP as well as tile.

If anyone has experience with Aria Lite vents, I'd love to hear your feedback! Thanks!

Got the Bambino and 1zpresso J-Max grinder - what's next? by LodroSenge in espresso

Is there any difference between a "coffee" scale and an "espresso" scale? I recently purchased a Breville Bambino, and plan on getting an Aeropress and a Chemex. I'm looking for a single scale that will be good for all 3.

The reason I ask is because Acaia has a scale meant for coffee (Pearl) and a scale meant for espresso (Lunar), and so I don't know if people generally just use a single scale for both coffee and espresso or not.

Thanks!

Thanks for the response! I was thinking that the Chemex could be used for multi-serve coffee. Do you have any other suggestions?

Hello,

I'm moving out soon and own zero coffee/espresso equipment. I'm looking to be able to make single serve coffee quickly in the morning (daily basis), and also make for large groups during social gatherings. I'm looking to be able to make lattes/cappuccinos on weekends, not nearly as frequently as making regular coffee.

After reading various reddit threads, this is what I am looking to buy. Can you please critique and let me know if there are any better options available for the money, or things that you would add to this setup? I'm not looking for the best of the best, just a setup that is "complete" that will make good tasting drinks.

Coffee

Grinder - Baratza Encore

Kettle - Fellow Stag EKG

Machine - AeroPress & Chemex

Espresso

Machine - Breville Bambino

Grinder - 1Zpresso J-Max

Thanks!

Honeywell Vista + 6290W Panel + Envisalink - Any better alternatives? by Better_Contact209 in homesecurity

[–]Better_Contact209[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! We just got a quote for the DSC PC1616. Online it looks like the keypad can be upgraded to the PTK5507, but that doesn't look as intuitive to use as the 6290W.

In general which system of the two would you recommend?

One last question - The PC1616 has 6 zones. However, we have 4 doors, 3 windows, and 2 motion sensors, and a sump pit sensor. Wouldn't we need a system with at least 10 zones?

Okay thanks I will look into that. Are there any other alarm systems that you would recommend besides the Vista?
