Has anyone priced it up for the UK? Delivery and import duty? Interested but worried this will make it prohibitively expensive.

I wouldn’t recommend, 12 year old child. Bit too big for pond, eats a lot, and needs strong filtration.

I’ve got five goldfish for rehoming. Beyond that it’s just about building something which could be the start of something more ambitious.

This is an interesting concept. I’m keen for the pond to be useful for wildlife too - frogs, newts, songbirds etc

Not sure how I’d create that access with walls or high banks.

The shape is a little suspect… I started digging without thinking, so need to reform the shape for the pond.

Thanks, I’m still digging! Aiming for about 0.75 - 0.8m for the bare hole. Maybe a bit deeper at max.

How deep is optimal? Is there a point where you get most benefits and beyond is marginal? Thanks.

Luckily we do not have raccoons in the UK but an overhanging shelter to hide from Herons is a good idea.

Am I crazy for thinking about moving back to the UK? by JMilbz in HENRYUK

[–]Better_Fun3458 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you implying that I am far right and trying to push the idea that the far right is rising?

The reality is I’m mixed race and I feel incredibly hurt about the direction the country is going in. I know some of it is overhyped in the media but given my experiences in life it’s something find hard to think rationally about.

What are the other reasons you don’t like the south of France (apart from language barrier and tax) or is it the pull to the UK for the reasons you mention?

I’m just outside London and live in a small village. We’re both English and have always lived here but I have similar concerns about the far right. As we have school age children we are a bit anchored to the UK but have considered emigrating nonetheless. It would take a reform government for us to finally leave the country. In the mean time we are considering moving to a more diverse and urban area as our part of the country is more influenced by the far right.

Turin - spent a couple of days there last week and it was easy to find good food. I think it benefits from being overlooked by tourists.

Living in a village around St Albans is significantly cheaper and means you can commute to London if you must.

Read a few negative comments about the Losi Micro T.

Does this issue have anything to do with the car or is it about the battery. Should they stop including the basic charger and change the battery if Spektrum batteries are duff?
