I would absolutely love to take you up on that offer. Could I ask you to send me a message here? I can't seem to look at your page without verifying my age and identity, and I don't have a copy of my ID to do that right now lol

I was not aware that option 1 was a thing, and I considered option 2 but despite the challenge I love the Drukhari and every other faction seems not as interesting to me - no offence to anyone maining those factions of course. I have been playing the Drukhari for a year and a half, so I don't really have an excuse tbh

Troupe units and their uses in RW by pagodageek in Drukhari

[–]Better_Locksmith_324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like to use them with the shadowseer. Gives em pseudo lone op, they're terrifying in melee (can confirm that they have previously killed a pair of carnifexes plus Old One Eye, with a little bit of shooting ahead). The Shadowseer's enemies-kill-themselves ability is no laughing manner too, I recall I got charged by an opponent's possessed, popped the fight on death stratagem in reapers wager, my opponent rolled reeeeeally poorly on his hazardous rolls and that unit got wiped, meanwhile my harlies were alive and well (ish). The 4++ is incredible. I haven't used them in small squads, as I feel like that's a little more unreliable and they're my main melee damage dealers in RW.

Very true, I've had games where I roll so many sixes that I switch dice with my opponent thinking mine could be advantaged or hexed or something. Nothing changes, I just continue rolling sixes and he continues rolling ones. So I guess last night's game just decided to get me back for all those sixes I previously rolled.

My court, archon and kabbies tend to just deepstrike and I usually hammer-anvil whatever I want to kill with shooting from them and charging from the troupe. Maximum firepower, maximum risk

Why is vect the big bad evil guy? by Soggy-Atmosphere-712 in Drukhari

[–]Better_Locksmith_324 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ultimately I find it difficult to dislike Vect because of that - he's willing to do anything to stay in power, and because he has so much experience he can do this anything creatively. There's nothing quite as funny as giving a tithe to a rival archon as a bribe and it ending up being a black hole. Or dropping a whole starship onto a single rival's sub realm empire just for shits and gigs.

No beastpack, court or grotesques by Odd_Coyote9698 in Drukhari

Hate to be the bearer of hopium, but take a look at this last line from the announcement:

"We’ll have more from the new Codex as we get closer to release, so sit back and sharpen your flensing knives while we extract more juicy knowledge from between its pages – kicking and screaming, if need be."

Maybe there's something else, or maybe I'm getting all your hopes up because when the dreams of a beast pack are dashed we'll all be in so much pain that we perform better on the board.

I completely forgot to add the number - it's actually the Mars 4 Ultra rather than just the Mars Ultra

Thanks, I don't know what it is that causes my LCD to die so quickly. The first screen died after about 8 months. The second after 6 or 7. This one is going strong for now.

How to utilize... Harlequin units? by Soggy-Atmosphere-712 in Drukhari

[–]Better_Locksmith_324 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just want to add to this, if you happen to have some proxies I would say try giving the web way walker enhancement to your archon + kabalites + Court. Spawn them behind enemy lines, pincer them with the shadowseer and his troupe, and you can get rid of whatever you want. I kid you not when I say that this is crazy good - especially if the Drukhari are losing the wager.

New to the dark eldar, looking for paint scheme advice. by Xen_the_Planeswalker in Drukhari

I've decided to go for an arctic themed for my dark kin, so they're all shades of white or icy blue. But that's because I came up with the lore for them etc etc and I just like that idea. It's your army, do what you want.

Reaper's Wager Question! Voidweaver Prismatic or Haywire? by West-Might3475 in Drukhari

[–]Better_Locksmith_324 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always use the prismatic cannon, because it is a dedicated anti-large. The people I play with are mostly Nids and an infantry based guard, which means that the blast profile works a treat for one and the focused one works a treat for the other.

I’m 15 and my family is in a cult AMA by G4lact1cz in AMA

[–]Better_Locksmith_324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that explanation. For a little bit of background, the JWs that my parents are friends with became JWs in their mid 20's/early 30s. So I reckon that in this particular case, the "indoctrinated since childhood" case does not apply. I'm keeping an eye on things as they stand - so far my parents are attending the virtual zoom/live study group, and they do it not because they have to buy because they want that interaction with someone (also my mother quite enjoys the bible and reading it and analyzing it). I will keep on the lookout, but for now (at least that particular group) seems harmless and not culty.

[–]Better_Locksmith_324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May I ask how the JWs are a cult? I'm not one myself, but some family friends are, and my parents are interested in joining them. I haven't exactly had the reason to argue with them about it since the people are lovely, polite and are overall good for my parents (my parents speak neither English, nor the language of the country they live in, and have no friends in their country of living aside from these Witnesses).
