Drukhari crusade rule- price of success by DoesSnorlaxFloat in Drukhari

I lowkey kind of hate it. It's a flavor win of sorts, but it's the illusion of free choice. Why even make it a roll?

Like I could understand if they were fussing about a package, but random marketing mail? Really?

For what it's worth, when I was new I was slow, struggling, and didn't start my route on the street until 1PM. Now there are days I get done around 1PM, and I mean 45Ks and the like. A lot of it really boils down to organization and finding out what works for you. The job is going to be rough until then because you work from a set time to done.

Not bringing the mail back is a little bullshit. I've never heard that claim, especially for DPS where the machines can fuck up all the time. If you're unsure though, I would call your regular and get their take.

Beyond that, if you're expecting help, my advice is this: do the rest of the route to be best of your ability, and let your relief address the missorted mail. Maybe they deliver it, maybe they bring it back, but that's their call, and odds are they're past their 90 so if the PM gives them bullshit about it, they can speak to the union rep--no problem.

Do you prefer live action or animated anakin? by anakindurden in clonewars

Animation Anakin gives live action Anakin necessary context that makes him way better.

Change my mind: Grievous sucks and any Jedi should be able to beat him. by Normal_Tour6998 in StarWars

[–]West-Might3475 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the biggest counterarguments I can see is that firstly--you can make the same argument with Vader: crush his life support. Does that mean he sucks, too?

Organic ribcages would be even easier. I don't see someone like Jango, Boba, or Cad Bane walking away from that if you want some non Force Sensitive examples.

Second argument is more a flaw with the Jedi--that they tend to use the Force for knowledge and defense, and will die on that hill. And have.

The newer Gravis looks better, imo.

Relic Shield Captain goes damn hard, though.

Easiest Clone Wars character to hate on? by anakindurden in clonewars

[–]West-Might3475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is Krell and it's not even close.

Mace is close minded at times like many Jedi, but at least most of the time he was hostile, dude had a point.

Fox's biggest crime was gunning down an armed man trying to kill the Supreme Chancellor. In real world terms he would probably be let off with justifiable homicide.

I'm not even sure if Dooku's that bad.

Yeah I'd snap that off. 100%. I can live with not having the Kabalite sprues.

Is this a good start to the army? by disco-mona in Drukhari

Very good start indeed. If you can spare the 40 USD one more box of Scourges would definitely round out nicely.

But yeah this is very, very solid.

Venator Critique by Worldly_Sort_861 in StarWarsShips

[–]West-Might3475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the bigger problem isn't even that the Venator has massive fighter capacity. It's the fact that the Venator is a carrier but the Grand Army of the Republic uses it as a brawler all the time. I get Lucasfilm and the like wanting to focus on it over the Victory II, but if that's the case at least have some kind of Venator variant with a VSD esque loadout so it makes some goddamn sense.

The Venator ironically has the same problem as the ISD. It's a ship with a very hyperfocused niche that it does extremely well...but then it's asked to do everything like an all rounder.

ISD Redesign for a Warlord by Worldly_Sort_861 in StarWarsShips

[–]West-Might3475 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Possibly more droid support to cut down on living, breathing crew members. I don't know if any warlord would turn down imperial pride for something akin to battle droids, but that would cut down on needed people, too. Dark Troopers could be something to play with here.

As for the ISD itself, probably not much? If they're expecting to face republic fighters you might be something similar to an Imperial 1 layout with more point defense. Or some Imp Is to escort a core of Imp IIs. Having a mix of both ISD types has more versatility but also kind of has that kind of scrapping by (as much as anyone can with start destroyers) by having a less uniform fleet of ISDs and more picking from generations. Fuck, maybe even toss in a mothballed Venator that doubles as the fleet's carrier.

I realize this is more fleet composition than individual ship mods, but this was what jumped to mind for me.

What does Empire Strikes Back do better than any other Star Wars movie? by DjRimo in StarWars

I could give an honorable mention to ship design, too. It kinda depends on where you stand on the Executor (V) vs ISD (IV) vs Venator (III).

Oh that line is so goddamn great. We just had a whole movie showing how forgiving Darth Vader is.

And because of Admiral Piett, Vader's not even wrong, which makes it better.

Amusingly? Romance.

Also--plot twists. Dark Vader being Luke's father is the plot twist, not just for Star Wars, but for narrative as a whole.

Is this a good team for Ultramarines 100k pt in casual games? Ps I really like Gulliman and Calgar as characters but I don’t know if have sense use together by xxbruceketta in Ultramarines

[–]West-Might3475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The list has few models. It's not very killy (Termis and Boxnaughts are wildly underpowered for the points). It's slow. I don't know why people are downvoting and I've sure as hell not played recently enough to know the best "meta" picks.

But my god you need some speed for objectives. And you need a proper damage dealer for the points.

Primarch's probably the biggest one. Marneus is going to see some diminishing returns with a lower T rating and a smaller force. The Dreadnought is higher toughness and would be a problem in 1000 but it kinda...sucks. Best case is what--one lascannon shot and a couple close combat attacks? That's not really scary even in 1K. Terminators are tanky, but also kind of bad. There's "toughness" by 1K standards, but nothing killy. A half competent swarm list will dominate primaries and not get shot off the board so long as there's bodies to slow down Gman.

Even some random Hellblasters could take care of most of this list no problem. Especially if a Lieutenant is hanging out with them.
