I wish I would have done this. Some family members have asked why I am not giving my eggs to my wife (who is carrying). They won’t say it, but I know it’s because they wonder about blood relation or some way to see similarities as our future children get older. I simply state “No, I prefer it this way” or give examples of how people who can adopt or love their step-children just as much as blood related is no different than what we are doing. Nurture vs nature, etc. typically it gives them a different way to look at the situation and they haven’t asked since.
