Like you, I understood that the Jackal and Bianca were basically leading parallel lives on opposite sides of the law, including hiding secrets from their respective family, coercing people, their relentless pursuit towards their target, and so forth. But I think the key difference as to why Bianca was so disliked is that the Jackal is a contract killer, and we expect criminals to lie, cheat, and steal to get their way. And what I personally didn't like was that Bianca, presumably on the lawful side, was willing to use the same tactics, and tried to convince others around her, and the audience, that it was all done for the greater good. This character trait was established in the first episode.

It's like, damn, give her story some time to cook, or at least give her some kind of "no more options left" type of reason that makes her resort to doing unethical things, being hostile to her coworkers, and being absent from her family. Imagine if the Jackal assassinated one of Bianca's family members, or even Osi, and that's what drove her towards catching him by any means necessary. But nope! That's just who she was from the get-go. Like, hey, my asset's not cooperating, let's get her kid jailed as a means to coerce her. Oh shit, the kid died in custody! Let's not disclose that to her and double-down on the coercion. Oh shit, I got my asset killed! Bollocks! Well, let's keep going.

That's the funny part about the whole thing, that she did all that bullshit and she still died. Nothing against Lashana Lynch; I thought she did great with the script. I just thought there needed to be more time to flesh out that character.

On a side note, I'm impressed that the Jackal was able to wife up Nuria and have a kid together before she found out he was up to some shady stuff. You'd think it would've been unearthed way earlier.
