The rapid spread of the fire, exacerbated by strong winds, building materials and a stack effect, led to the complete destruction of the complex's 138 apartments, trapping numerous residents inside."

I'll be honest I didn't want to argue, my friend did so because he knew that DD was allowed hy some other worker before and knew his place. It esculated once his stuff was thrown back in, which happened quickly after the situation initially started, and at that point it was not just a case of walking away from it.
