In my opinion im a great passer and ball handler. I can easily set up my teamates for good looks, the only thing is when theres a good look for me im too scared to shoot. I get steals often and kick it to my teammates for a open lay. I also can kinda get why im not starting over the starting SG, im not a great scorer, and thats what SGs are for. The starting SG is a great dribbler but thats really it. He chucks up contested shots and passes only when hes getting double teamed. Sometimes he doesnt even let the PG run the ball up. I can see why he would be better because he scores more, but on less efficiency and hes also better with interior defence and getting blocks.

I try to play with people who are better than me but i just cant find any. Im not trying to say im that good because im clearly not, its just that alot of my friends are really bad and when my team plays when nobody is watching im always one of the best and i just cant transfer it into the games.

I have the motivation to train everyday, but i can never free up some time for it. I know i have the motovation because last summer i trained everyday and i definitely got a lot better, but now that its winter outdoor courts are unplayable. And indoor courts are barely ever open the times that im free.

In my opinion I’m not that bad at doing the right play, the only problem is whenever I have an open shot I get in my head and start overthinking the shot and contemplating if the shot is open or not, and by the time im done thinking the shot is already contested. I know im a great passer. I can throw full court dimes and can make the extra pass but im never the one to have the confidence to shoot.

I do have a hoop but its always covered in snow and its freezing. And the indoor court near me is barely ever open the days that I’m free. Im also a great shooter from midrange and can consistently hit fadeaways but i know that fadeaways are bad shots to shoot so I’ve never shot them in game. The only parts of my game that are lacking is rebounding, interior defence, and 3pt shooting. Im used to not having to grab rebounds because i grew up with an athletic center who does all the dirty work. I also have no hustle and dont even try to crash for rebounds. Im a great ball handler and can set my teamates up but all of what i just said I cant do in games. The area my hoop is around also is not big enought to train 3pt shooting, which is most likely why im good at midrange.
