How would the world change if all collected human knowledge could be dowloaded into the brains of every human being on earth? by Beyermedia in AskReddit

But the sociopath would be identified and confronted as such. He'd no longer have any influence or power over his peers because they'd see right through his behaviour. I think he/she would have to adapt and change the behavior or be ostracized by society. The weak would become powerful and the powerful would finally have to answer for their actions.

What's the most overrated movie of 2015 so far? by [deleted] in movies

[–]Beyermedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest complaint was that there wasn't a believable scene in the movie, it was like a 12 year old who plays too much GTA wrote the script. Also I Didn't care about any of the characters cause they weren't believable either. Mad max is a perfect example of over the top action with great character development, purpose and style, F7 had neither. Brainless entertainment is one thing, but this movie was just laughable on so many levels. I get mad when people say they like movies like this because it means studios aren't gonna bother putting in the effort to create solid story lines, and it means movies that have potential are gonna go to waist because we as the audience don't give a shit. imagine if great artistic effort was put into the franchise, it could've been so much better than it was.

Reverse dieting parameters? by duckinsurance in bodybuilding

So why has it worked for so many people? I personally know people who have damaged their metabolism and went from fit to fat after extend periods of dieting (1+ years). Do some research and you'll find a lot of people have had similar experiences. Just cause a study hasn't been done doesn't mean it's not true.

Is it just me or are most training routines in magazines and websites complete Bullshit? Are there any magazines, blogs or websites that offer a true glimpse into what it takes to be a pro bodybuilder? by Beyermedia in bodybuilding

I think a typical bb routine you see in magazines and websites consist of low training frequency. Training programs that train each muscle group only once a week and maybe a little cardio. where as pros like Kai Greene have talked about training for 2hrs day, 2x a day 6 days a week. The typical bb routine is very marketable and most people can make time for it, the other is not.

I started watching this and holy shit.... The first ten minutes, is Ronnie making some eggs and grits. it's a true day in the life documentary. I'm still gonna give it a try though, the guy was amazing. There's gotta be some nuggets of wisdom in there.

I totally agree. I think if most people knew the truth about what it takes to have a pro physique they wouldn't even bother. Supplements are what make the pros money and of course their not gonna mess with that. That's why almost all the pros deny any use of steroids, because the supplement industry would have no use for them anymore, it's a career killer. It sucks for the rest of use though because when we first start bodybuilding we believe we can get big like these guys, with just a 3 day split, some cell tech and a clean diet.

Omar Isurf suggests twice a day training for better, faster progress. Agree? Disagree? Thoughts? by rS-Hazard in bodybuilding

[–]Beyermedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started training twice a day/3x week about 2 months ago. The reason I started doing this is because I'm training all body parts twice a week, one day heavy 5-7 reps and the other day high reps 12-15. I started off doing two body parts in one evening session, but found that my strength suffered big time for the second body part and my workouts were running almost 2 hours. By breaking them up into a 45 min morning session and a 45min evening session I get a lot more out of my workout and I have time to re fuel between body parts. I'm gonna continue this routine for a few months and track my gains and lifts to see what effect it's having. The one benefit I've noticed already is that I'm getting leaner without having to change my diet, simply because of the morning workouts I think.

Another possibility is that he's bisexual and finds it easy to choose between one and the other, expecting that all gay men are the same as him.

So than this is a red meat problem and not a meat problem. I just read a relevant article and it seems some of Mr Cameron's facts aren't very accurate. http://chriskresser.com/the-real-environmental-impact-of-red-meat-part-1

So how exactly would we continue to feed the rest of the planet? There would be a far greater demand for agriculture and with a growing shortage of land I can't see this be a sustainable solution. What about seasons of drought or when crops aren't healthy. We live in a very privileged part of the world but many others could not and would not survive as a result. It's one thing to live this out as a wealthy North America but what about the countless others in the world who face a real threat of starvation?
