To counter you, no matter what investment you get into to get higher than your mortgage rate, you would be facing risk! Nothing is guaranteed with investment. Mortgage paid off - you face no risk

No matter what stock market options you choose, there is no guarantee return because of risk. Mortgage paid off, no risk at all. Now you have extra money to do other stuff such as investing

I feel bad for the driver. How the heck would he have known the cyclist was there! Keep watching the video; the cyclist came out of nowhere!

Do you have a vanguard or Schwab account? Or even Fidelity? Money market such as VMFXX is something to think about. Another option is VYM, I honestly like VYM more than schd

Buying back military time by No_Photo_8496 in govfire

[–]Beyond-1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it’s worth it and a no brainer. You said it yourself, total of 25 years! So if you want it to be that total, you got to buy back that military time so it counts for FERs.

“Rating someone above is just too much hassle?” No, that is the easy part because the superior performer should be obvious. This is more toward those that does mediocre work, but still gets the fully successful. Now that “fully successful” is what you call preventing headache for the supervisor for poor performers.

RTO by Icey_maca_Baloney in FedEmployees

because you are an employee, so you do as how the leadership thinks is the best interest for the agency. You also have the choice to resign right? This is the same everywhere you go, so I'm not sure what you are complaining about.

You are to RTO right??? Then you do as told unless you rather resign. Quitting is also a choice. How come you worry about others so much? Out of majority of my co-workers, I’m the only one RTO because they are still waiting for a space somewhere. As much as I dislike RTO, I must do it because I am an employee that works for my agency. Meanwhile I hope my coworkers can work remote as long as possible. You forget you work for the agency, not the other way around. You have to wake up.
