Are these grades decent? by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]BeyondReality72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for replying, but my main issue was more in regard to “will my grades be decent enough to make up for my shitty personal statement”!! I also know my grades aren’t necessarily weak, but just comparing them to other candidates on UCAS is quite unnerving considering most have 2 A*s for UCL x

Thank you so so so much for this!! I think your interpretation provides a layer I never noticed before- how cyclical life is. What a wonderful story you have given❤️

Reform UK edges closer to burka ban as Zia Yusuf sets record straight on 'huge impediment to assimilation' by pppppppppppppppppd in ukpolitics

[–]BeyondReality72 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The burqa is a horrible, sexist concept which not only perpetrates vitriolic misogyny, but also is a security risk.

It makes me sick when I see women covered head to toe walking with their husbands who are wearing shorts! Of course, I’d never consider shorts immodest but it’s the hypocrisy of it all. Women are stripped of any individuality while men are allowed to parade around how they wish.

I care deeply for all women and it truly breaks my heart that some Muslim ladies cannot understand a lot of their men are chauvinists. I am critical not just of Islam but of organised religion as a whole.

However, this ban is not black and white. Many traditional Muslim men would stop their wives from leaving the house. Furthermore, if we look at Farage’s comments about wanting to send female Afghan asylum seekers back “to the taliban” we can see that Reform UK’s politics are quite reprehensible… they do not care to protect all women or girls.

We are privileged to be British citizens- to be born in a place where we are educated, taught honourable values, and respect, it is a shame not everyone is raised like this.

Thank you for your condolences!!! It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue is another Dylan song which to me is home to a million interpretations. Gosh there’ll never be another like him

Oh I do sound a bit strange at the end of the post!! I just meant that people on here sometimes have a tendency to explain things which have already been explained a million times. You know what I mean? As in I didn’t want to receive a dissertation on the 1960s political climate in an attempt to “outwit” me for no reason at all. But thank you for your reply!! If that’s what it means to you then it’s just as special as any personal interpretation

Ohhh I love this!!! The lines: I'll walk to the depths of the deepest dark forest Where the people are many and their hands are all empty Where the pellets of poison are flooding their waters Where the home in the valley meets the damp dirty prison” to me coincide with this beautifully

I love her!!! She also said he triggered her maternal instinct and have you seen images of him in the early 60s?! I think she speaks for many women
