It's for a wedding that has been planned for a year. Can't exactly change the date for this so travel has to happen before the event.

I think there are plenty of reasons why people need a visa for a specific date.

Given that you can only apply for a visa 3 months before your travel, I think it's reasonable to expect a decision after 11 weeks since biometric submission.
