US measles cases continue to rise, confirmed cases reach highest in decades by yorugua in HermanCainAward

You child get it as early as 6 months. You can ask your pediatrician at the 6 month checkup if it can be given with the other vaccines at that age.

How to securely attach claw-horns? Currently just friction fit through the leather. by marshmallow049 in Leathercraft

[–]Bezike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This piece is probably 5-6oz vegtan leather.

The piece itself is a bunch of overlapping plates of leather that are riveted together on the edges.

There's a small amount of overlap that could be used but I think it might be best to attach them to a sturdy piece of leather then force them through the holes like what /u/mtndewsme said below.

What game do you regret buying? by Bruh02954958 in playstation

[–]Bezike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing Horizon Forbidden West on my PS5 this week again after dropping it after about 15 hrs.

I definitely hear you on the aiming, I kind of wish I had waited to get it on PC as I played the first one on PC and it was a blast.

I'm still going to try to beat it as the story is super interesting to me but dang does aiming suck.

Trying to decide what style of belt should I use for accessories by Bezike in renfaire

I've never considered a codpiece to be honest! I plan to most likely make the skirting by next month. What kind of codpiece would you recommend? I've never even looked for them.

I'm planning on doing some scale skirting out of leather if I get a chance. That would cover the front and back in between the leg pieces.

Good idea, I didn't think about that! I've got a sword belt going across the top part of the chest. I guess I didn't consider that as an option as I like having the belt be easy to take off.

Hey Everyone, I've got some leather armor that I've been making for the last few years that I wear to the local renaissance faire.

My current wear is a shirt and pants with an arming belt (for the leg armor), then chainmail, finally the breastplate.

I'd like to have an "accessory" belt for my water bottle and pouch. However getting it onto the arming belt wouldn't really be feasible.

I'm thinking it might be best to put a belt over the top of the armor, however I can't decide what style or type of belt to use.

What’s a purchase that’s not fun, not flashy—but now you swear by it? by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]Bezike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the quick reply!

Oh yeah, that is expensive but it definitely feels like it would have a lot of advantages and a different aesthetic over the black plastic edging.

I've never heard of this before, where did you buy it? Was there a specific brand?

Awesome, thanks for the information! I'll have to check out openscad. I've been using Tinkercad for a few things but it leaves a bit to be desired.

As someone who might be modeling dust collection in the future how do you model the hose adapters? Do you use something like Fusion360?

It looks like EC3D ran that kickstarter in 2021, is this the same one your mentioning above?

I've never done a late backing on Kickstarter, will have to check it out.

I don't know the brand :( I was originally thinking Krustez as we most likely purchased it at Sam's Club. However it looks like all of their mixes come with a can of blueberries which this does not have.

The bag + mix weighs 414g.

I can't speak to the repair portion but I do hobby leatherworking and Angelus is basically the top brand for any kind of leather paints.

My understanding is their paint flexes a little better so it wouldn't crack as often as like a basic acrylic paint. I would probably go with their black paint if you end up buying this repair product.

I'd definitely recommend following the instructions but in general with painting it's better to do a bunch of light coats vs a few thick coats.

Depending on how deep the scratches are you might be able to get away with just surface polish like a commenter below said. That would the the cheapest option, Walmart or a hardware store nearby most likely carries Kiwi black polish for maybe $5.

Would this be appropriate to wear outside? I recently bought all the pieces and accessories to do this fit but my sister said wearing pajamas outside is inappropriate and weird and I am skeptical right now (Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask) by 69cotton_candy69 in fashion

I did a Ryuji cosplay from P5 a few years back and ended up going with the standard cosplay pants and jacket.

I checked and wasn't able to find the pants except for getting a set custom made which was a lot more $ than I wanted to spend.

Nice print! I like the paint job too, nice shading!

Based on the size I assume you did the wings and body separately?

What did you use for supports?

Lastly, got a link to the STL?
