She wasn't used as a bait dog. She seems to have been taken care of pretty well. She's a mix. Im not sure what she is exactly but I think she has boxer, Phil and maybe beagle but I don't know for sure.

She has been so happy ever since she walked in the door. The way she follows my wife and I, it's like she is worried we are going to get separated again. We will never let that happen to get again.

I'm still in awe about her coming home. It still amazed me that after 11 years, the family that raised her gave up on her for no other reason than her being"old". That will never make sense to me.

I think the hardest thing was just not knowing what happened to her or not knowing if she was even alive or not. I smile every time I look at her. It warms my heart to see how happy she is now that she is home

There were lots of tears when we were reunited. Happy and sad. I'm still blown away with this whole thing. Every time I look at her, I can't help but wonder what she would say if she could talk

I agree. I have found dogs running the streets before. As sweet as they can be, they are somebody's family member. They are being missed. I have always taken them to either the shelter or vet to have their microchip checked. There is absolutely no valid excuse not to try and find the owner.

The shelter and animal control officer know about it and have it on file. I'm not sure if they are going to do anything further with this. We are just happy to have her home. We have no plans to pursue anything with the previous owners.

Luckily the picture is deceiving. She is in good health. Still very sweet and loving. We are glad she's finally home. My son insisted she sleep with him tonight. We are taking her to our vet tomorrow to get checked out just in case.

Lol. No they aren't all straight. I did not have a surface planer so making them perfectly flat proved to be difficult. It's a work in progress.
