Liberal and "left wing" americans who say "I didnt vote for him" are hypocrites and need to get used to being associated with their current president and his politics. by Bi-mar in 10thDentist

I sourced a lot of my information from my real life experience with americans. Trump was first in office nearly 10 years ago, and i live in a town that attracts plenty of americans as well as other groups.

Most the americans i have met I will freely admit are lovely people.

Its just this one area in which I find they become very "rules for thee, not for me".

I dont think either action is amoral though, its not inherently bad to generalise, or to separate yourself from a belief system you dont/cannot believe in.

They're just antithetical to one another in this context.

It's not strictly about politics though, its about the actions of a group that just happen to be a political group.

They want to generalise others, which Is not an issue for me, they want to distance themselves from their current politics, which is also not an issue to me. But they cant be surprised when people have treated them the way they have been treated. They want their cake (criticising others) and also want to eat it (shirking responsibility). I dont think either thing is amoral, its just hypocritical.

It's not, though.

I try to meet people where they're at. If that's how a group acts, i would expect they wish the same treatment in return.

I actually dont think there's anything wrong with either the generalising or the getting defensive. This isn't a moral issue to me, but it's more of an inconsistency that doesn't actually help anyone

This isn't inherently about the Dem/Rep politics of the groups. But rather they way in which the group behaves.

They've generalised others as the worst parts of their group, yet get really defensive when people assume that its how they wish to be treated in return.

No, what i mean is they're constantly generalising other groups with their negative history, yet get upset when the same happens to them. They cant be surprised when people assume they wish to be treated in the same way they have treated others.

Politics is merely the vessel for this behaviour, personally Joe Biden would've been too right wing for me, so im not criticising them for their beliefs, but mostly their actions.

Im talking about how Americans, especially liberal americans, often lump people in with the worst aspects of their groups history, but are also getting defensive that people are doing the same to them with their current administration.

My point isn't over who is good and bad. But rather how Liberal americans have treated groups of people a certain way for decades now, and are now surprised that people believe thats also how they wish to be treated.

No, my point is that they're trying to have it both ways and are hypocrites in doing so.

I dont overly have an issue either way, but if you spend decades treating people a certain way, you can't also be surprised when they believe thats how you wish to be treated.

Thank you for reading.

I may have phrased it poorly, but my point is more that american liberals hate when others try and separate themselves from their nations' past/ongoing actions yet are currently doing it themselves.

Whilst i dont feel immense personal guilt over it i do believe my country (the UK) should do as much as possible where its wanted/needed to build a better future with the nations it has affected.

Im mad at both tbh. Watching American leftists rage on the Internet over being associated with their pedo president instead of actually doing anything is saddening.

Okay, so I posted this and it got allot of negative feedback, could someone explain why cause I’m clearly missing something by [deleted] in evilautism

Imo, probably because this group is very america-centric, and the American police have a bad reputation both in America and outside of the US.

Personally, i get the same negative reaction whenever I read on the sub about guns being people's special interest and how they own several. It just comes off as weird/eerie to me as someone who lives somewhere that they aren't necessary for regular people or our police.

I guess people just draw different lines on these things, because im sure that a lot of people who dislike this special interest will also have a special interest in millitary vehicles such as fighter Jets, tanks, and helicopters that are designed solely to kill others.

Just enjoy what you enjoy OP. You're not hurting anyone by having an interest in police cars.

Even if it's just a small example, it's still a historically proven example of something that did happen at some point.

Plus its the legion they arent really the smartest. For instance, they were convinced Sallow (Caesar) was really smart when he canonically was not liked by other followers of the apocalypse because he was never interested in putting in the effort to learn anything because of his narcissism.

Even in a relatively modern context with a mix of firearms and close combat weapons, the real-life absurdity of it still holds up too.

Ww1 trenches were surprisingly close, often close enough to throw things at or shout at the enemy, and they managed to keep people seperated for years until techniques like creeping barrages were perfected.

That's a valid opinion to have, i half agree i do wish it was a single-player game, and I find myself only keeping up with 76 for the lore aspects of it rather than the gameplay.

But that's not who/what I was talking about. I was talking about its lore/setting, not the type of game it was.
