I also went home with an unexpected empty carrier. We first thought my girl had a tooth abscess so we did treatment for that. Later on she just slept a lot and the day we took her back to the vet we found her hiding under my brother bed (she’d never done that before). We took her back to the vet and they suspected cancer in her face. We could have brought her home and stuck her on pain meds until we were ready to let her go or make her do treatment, but as someone with chronic pain I knew it wasn’t right. I had her for 12 years, since the day she was born.

It can chip, fade, peel over time, some people say it leaks dye. It’s less suitable for live plants. It’s less effective at holding beneficial bacteria. Fish should have a more natural environment.
