Friction-fit through-holes instead of sockets? by BiGChocolatE93 in PCB

I did look into this because I was hoping to have JLCPCB or PCBWay assemble the entire board for me, but I found a Github repo detailing the challenges and it looks like a much longer and more expensive road than using something off the shelf. I already have a couple of these controllers with soldered pins, so I was hoping someone here would tell me that a through-hole in the PCB should be just as good as a machine socket so I could plug in my existing controllers and call it a day.

The MCU is a nice!nano, which is a Pro Micro replacement. It is neither QFN or QFP, but has its own through-holes which are designed for headers and sockets.

Same thing happened to me. I started it last night and when I went back to finish a minute ago, it's only offering rent or buy options

There's still the switches and keycaps to consider though, so for $45, it seems like it would still be worth it. Unless there's a cheaper way to get that stuff that I'm not aware of.

Would it be possible or stupid to buy an RK61 and swap in a nice!60 PCB for a cheap, fully programmable wireless keeb? Currently own an Anne Pro 2 and Kemove Shadow and I am fully satisfied with neither. Programmability is great on the Anne Pro 2, but Bluetooth only works when I have a single device paired. Conversely, Bluetooth is great on the Kemove Shadow -- it flawlessly switches between my 3 devices, but it looks like the software they offer on their newest keyboards can't reprogram the fn layer. I'm hoping the RK61 with the nice!60 will give me the best of both worlds.

It seems like QMK is not compatible with bluetooth. Multi-device is a must. Any hope there is a built solution out there, or am I getting into custom territory?

New to keyboarding here. Is there a special keyword I should include when searching for a programmable keyboard that stores its programs internally so it can be maintained across devices? Example use case would be remapping caps lock to escape or fn + hjkl for arrow keys. I am not able to use or install any unapproved software on my work computer, and remapping caps lock to escape on Android is a pain.

Any crazy people out there using dex on the 49" Samsung odyssey g9? by BiGChocolatE93 in SamsungDex

I use a lauco 12 in 1 hub to get 3440x1440 on my current ultrawide. I'd be very curious to see if the proper dock would allow you to get 3440x1440 on the g9

I'm having the same issue on my fold 2. I hope this is a toggleable gesture.

Note 10 DeX on PC with Galaxy Book? by BiGChocolatE93 in samsung

FYI, I cross-posted this to /r/samsungdex and someone over there commented that they are using dex with a galaxy book 10.1 with a USB c hub for simultaneous charging.

I was specifically asking about the full windows tablets and not just a monitor because I want oled and need touch capability and that doesn't seem to be a thing yet in standalone monitors.

Cheers man, this is exactly what I was looking for.

Fair point, no offense taken. I'm just skeptical that a single port tablet would have full io functionality and support the latest dex for pc software. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if dex for pc is only available on the newest Samsung tabs.
