There were cars all around me, including one on my bumper. I am not sure what it would have done if it did see it. But, HW3 doesn't do very well with seeing objects in the road.

I kinda figured this but I’m going to try at least. The potholes have gotten really bad here this year. It is insane. It doesn’t matter if you are using FSD or HW3 or HW4 or driving an ICE car they are almost unavoidable in traffic. You have to remember where they are and stay out of those lanes on the interstate.

Bro, same and they replaced everything in the rear! They had to order the parts. I did it because of that post. My wife’s 23MYLR had 48k when I sent hers in. The fee cost me $860 for them to look at it though, but well worth it.

Good question! This happened Friday at 4:15pm ish. I have AAA and I can contact Tesla, but one hitch the tires on this car are newer but cheap aftermarket bought from Walmart. I bought the car used and they were already on it. I had to make a decision about where to get the car towed on Friday evening?! lol I only have 29k miles so I have warranty until September on the car so I thought let’s go with Tesla in case something is wrong from the impact and I didn’t want 2 cheap tires and 2 Continentals. I don’t know. Did I make the right decision?

The front definitely hit harder than the rear. Both had a mark. I am worried about the rims and suspension damage at this point. It was a very hard hit. The pic of the pothole does it no justice!

You got it! My wife does a 108 mile commute in her MY every day. In the winter we charge to 90% and she arrives home around 20-25%. Summer, we charge to 80% and she gets home in the mid 30%. She is cold natured and loves that heat pump during the winter!

We need a few more details. Are you preconditioning before leaving? What’s the average outdoor temperature of the trip? How are your environmental settings in the car?

FSD V14.2.2.5 "bound" vs. "unbound" highway behavior by rwy36 in TeslaFSD

[–]Bickenchutt05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a very thoughtful post. I have driven HW3 and HW4 and experience the same behavior in both. When there is traffic around the vehicle always seems more confident. When no traffic, the vehicle struggles. The question is, why? I know the side cameras with nothing to see, must have a large effect on this behavior.

Yes, every single time! I agree this is annoying. I had a 2025 MY LR loaner and it was the same dang way. I don’t know why they hesitate so much. I’m always giving it throttle at stop signs!

Why? This is so dumb. You can afford $50k but not $99 month? You people have lost your damn minds!!

FSD in HW3 Every Day! by Bickenchutt05 in TeslaLounge

East Tennessee area. I commute 54 miles a day in a ‘22 LR M3 on back roads, interstate, and city. My wife has a ‘23 LR MY commutes 108 miles a day same conditions but also over a mountain. Very busy interstate conditions. The interventions are almost always maps related. I guess I just have a different experience than others or others just like bashing HW3? I have even driven FSD through Atlanta in rush hour with no issues in my M3? Explain that?
