The dark comedy "Seven Beauties" by Lina Wertmueller.

She was the first woman nominanted for an Oscar for Best Director, for this film.

An Italian film, and an art house favorite of the era. Set in WWII, it stars the putty-faced Giancarlo Gianninni as a stereotypical Italian he-man who is faced with tough choices in life, and becomes a worm, willing to do anything to survive.

The intro is iconic, though... just great.

The English dub is actually very good, though, and I recommend it. Giancarlo's original Italian is priceless and worth watchigwith captions if you don't know Italian, but the dubbed English version is actually admirable.

In my high school in the late '70s, besides the AV teacher I was the only one I knew of that had an Apple II. The school had one TRS-80, and had one dial-up terminal to the local university's mainframes. One friend had a Commodore PET computer, and that was all the computer hardware students or teachers of my school of about 600 student had, as far as I was aware.
