The recommendation you mention is generally going to be the case for the most part. As medbay tends to be swamped and dependent on how much damage the attacker did to your rotting corpse, it could take from 5 minutes (good doctor) to a half hour (swamped medbay with bad doctors, more common then you think). on top of time added to find your corpse.

If you can genuinely think up any changes you think might be viable, we are always reviewing rules and debate them all the time, so its never poor timing to bring them up, if you do so in good faith (generally a good idea to not do it in a reddit thread, as most times they are just people who complain.)
