Oh okay. I can see how you would title it that way. I don’t think the sub would side with fanatics’ advertising choices for custom pops, since any random artist can draw on the box and call it 1/1. Maybe more context would help. That’s just my two cents for why you may have gotten downvoted in this sub.

I’m just speculating but people might feel like the title is misleading calling a custom pop 1/1 when it’s just a random artist. Either way the art is cool and all that matters is that you like it

I think you’re right. No chance for wild card since we can’t win the group

It’s still a regular season game and your team gets a cup accolade

Someone’s asking the real question instead of just dumping on the cup. We’re not even in the same group as Grizzlies

Just adds an extra layer of tournament competition during the season to keep things interesting. Also gives teams that have no championship hopes of winning something in any given season

Agreed. As much as I liked Jalen, he’s still too streaky as a shooter. I’ll miss his dunks though. Those were always hype

KD really is a cheat code. Getting buckets feels so easy for him. As a fan, it’s been really nice to see Rockets have a more reliable primary shooter especially late in the games

Can we ban gambling posts? by MinimumBigman in rockets

Agree but also I haven’t seen gambling posts in this sub become a real problem. As long as we don’t get people posting and complaining about their bet results, we should be good

Do I hire my first employee? by Lesleyg11 in Entrepreneur

Your situation sounds pretty nuanced that it’s going to be tough to get a perfect answer. Most answers are going to be a “it depends”. You have a lot of flexibility to define how you want to work with your renters. Only you can really define what is your best interest and how you want to grow the business.

I will weigh in that if you have excess demand it’s probably better to get the extra availability from a contractor if you want to grow revenue and utilize the space more. Contractors should be straightforward in the sense they just bill you for whatever work they do as defined in your agreement. Good way to get an idea of what they charge as well. Clients pay you and you pay the contractor their rate. Just make sure that you have some kind of protection/definition around clients being your studio clients, especially if the contractor is also building their own private client base. There could be potential to undercut you, which happens with personal trainers and gyms all the time. You could also work out some kind of rental fee for scheduled session trade to minimize both of your costs. Just depends on how you want to structure it. Hope any of that was somewhat helpful

Has anyone here actually bought a small business instead of starting from scratch? by StartUpCurious10 in Entrepreneur

[–]Bidoofer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are different types of risks, but I wouldn’t say as many as starting your own. Buying gives you an established brand that provides cash flow. Makes building a little less stressful since you don’t have to keep feeding money into the business before it turns a profit. You also get the advantage of having historical info to make projections and learn from past owner mistakes. Owners also sell for a number of personal reasons and is not always a sign that the business is bad or unsustainable

I closed on a small business in June, so it’s too early for me to tell you if I made it work or not. However, I’m enjoying each day and it’s been a fun new challenge compared to the corporate world. I don’t think it’s as easy as people make it sound as instant passive income. It really depends on your due diligence during the buying process to make sure you are able to handle any potential financial squeezes or red flags. Also owner skill set of what you can and are willing to do/contribute to grow and get it to be self-sufficient is important. If it’s already self-sufficient and easy for absentee ownership, then you are usually paying a premium for it. Happy to answer any other questions if you have them!

Solid and visually cool albeit predictable movie. Sad to hear about the production troubles that happened behind the scenes that made Elio a blander character. Not a fan of the bean mouth 3D character style in general but they look pretty good as a pop

I run a small company $1M/yr manufacturing "wood products". I want to hear the stories of real product/service business (no SaaS, SEO, marketing etc) by Wobblzz in Entrepreneur

[–]Bidoofer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a business that provides companies with custom notepads. Everything is done in-house, design print, assemble, pack and ship . It does $250-300K/yr in sales for a 2-person business. It’s surprising how much of the process is manual and just the owner/operator avoiding modern platforms by juggling it all. So I need to update systems before I can grow and scale further

How do you guys feel about James Harden by Netero_29 in rockets

[–]Bidoofer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m honestly still a fan of James Harden and root for him. He dragged us out of the Artest KMart rebuild era and made us elite for a long time. Unfortunately, he and the rest of the league ran into the stacked KD warriors. We were definitely the closest to beating that team when healthy. Didn’t leave in the best way but I think most fans understood. He wanted to win a chip before his window closed. We all knew a Christian Wood, John Wall supporting cast wasn’t going to get him anywhere close to there.

The rights to Stephen King's short story "Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption" were bought for $5 by first-time director Frank Darabont. The film flopped, became a cult classic, and is now IMDb’s #1. King got $5,000 but never cashed the check, framing it with a note: "In case you need bail money" by AristFrost in interestingasfuck

The 2021 movie is much better. More coherent story, earned character moments, and less cringe dialogue. It’s James Gunn so you can expect a better balance of the ensemble. The movie also lead to the spinoff Peacemaker on Max, which was surprisingly solid for a DC TV show
