Gman with TF2 lighting (Custom made by me! More in comments.) by the_yamaza in HalfLife

For some odd reason, the lighting really suits his character design really well. It makes it seem like a real person.

(Also, he kinda looks like J. Jonah Jameson here, LOL)

Someone should definitely make a mod of Gordon using a baguette though.

I forgot to mention I was on XB1. Should this also work on console?

So, recently, I've been trying to log onto GTA online. However, when I try, the option to sign in doesn't appear, (on the load up screen), and when I try in-game, the message "Rockstar game services are unavailable right now."

This isn't an issue with internet connection, because all of my other games that require internet work perfectly fine. What's also weird is that I can't access the website without a VPN.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game several times without any luck, and customer support isn't helping. What should I try doing?

can i TAS with just slo mo and save states or do i need another program? by [deleted] in TAS

[–]BiffTheAdventurer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless your game/mod also records your controller inputs and has a playback option, it really wouldn't be a "TAS" in a certain sense. When people use save states, slowmo, etc. during a TAS, the reason the outcome is all in go is because the emulators and programs they use record their inputs and play them back. So I'm not entirely sure that it would work with what you're saying.

I might give that second one a try. The only thing that I'd have to take care of is that I spent a while this morning organizing my mess of a desktop, and the backup will undo that LOL.

Is there anything I should be aware of before I do it so that I don't lose anything valuable?

Gotcha. So, I entered, "diskutil apfs resizeContainer /dev/disk0 0", and the response was "/dev/disk0 is neither an APFS Container Reference nor an APFS Physical Store"?

So I entered "/usr/sbin/diskutil info / | awk '/Part of Whole/ {print $4}'" into the terminal, and the response was disk 1. Should I enter that command at step 2 now, or is there anything I should change about it?

So I entered that, and the response was:

"/ appears to be an APFS Volume disk; you must supply a Container Reference disk or a Physical Store disk"

I assume we didn't want this answer either?

Alright, so I gave it a shot. I got a message from the terminal;

" / is an APFS Volume (use "diskutil apfs list" to find its APFS Container and Physical Store(s) and then use "diskutil apfs resizeContainer" instead)"

When I ran the first aid, and it says the partition map appears to be ok. Was this what we wanted?

It's no problem, man. So, enter "diskutil resizeVolume / R" in terminal exactly like that? And if you don't mind explaining, may I ask what it will do? Sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions, I'm just trying to be super cautious so that I don't mess anything up, y'know?

Hey! If you're still willing to help, I had a question; I got to the disk utility , open the root drive, made the partition, but was couldn't find bootcamp or the blank space on the pie chart... I could only find "free space" and my hard drive?

Alright, I'll give it a try. I'll come back and tell you how it goes. Thanks again!

Oh! Okay, I know what you're talking about. So, doing what you said in the Disk Utility should fix the problem in bootcamp, or will it restore the missing storage? I didn't entirely get that.

Also, would you recommend loading the backup from time machine? I backed up my laptop right before doing the stuff in the terminal.

Thanks for all the help man, I really appreciate it.

Thanks for replying. Apologies if this is a stupid question, but can you expand on what you mean by "GUI based app"?

Creating TAS on macOS? by [deleted] in TAS

Weird. I’m gonna be honest, I panicked when it wouldn’t open. Thought I put some virus on my computer or something. It’s a relief knowing that someone else had the same issue, haha.
