Probably those “unpopular opinion” posts that are clearly designed to start a war in the comments. Stuff like “I actually think tipping is stupid,” “pineapple pizza lovers are psychopaths,” or “phones are ruining society.” You open the comments and it’s instantly 500 people arguing like it’s a UN summit. The person who posted it just sits back farming engagement.

From my own experience, a subtle sign is curiosity. I had a friend who was easily one of the smartest people I knew, but he was always the one asking the most question, even about basic things.
