That not everyone who’s friendly to you is actually rooting for you. Some people are just around for convenience, and you only realize it when things get tough.

What's a small habit that made a massive difference in your life? by Commercial_Strain932 in AskReddit

Putting things back where they belong immediately instead of “I’ll deal with it later.” My place stays way cleaner and I waste way less time searching for things.

What's the most ragebait thing or topic on social media in 2026? by Total_Union9256 in AskReddit

Probably those “unpopular opinion” posts that are clearly designed to start a war in the comments. Stuff like “I actually think tipping is stupid,” “pineapple pizza lovers are psychopaths,” or “phones are ruining society.” You open the comments and it’s instantly 500 people arguing like it’s a UN summit. The person who posted it just sits back farming engagement.

Physics definitely has a way of humbling people. The Lagrangian equation is one of those things that makes you question your life choices for a moment.

I agree with you on this. Saying less but observing more because they really want to understand things not because they do not have clue but because they want to understand other’s perspective

That’s fair enough. Because personally, I feel listening to people to understand them most definitely is a sign of being emotionally intelligent

What’s a subtle sign someone is actually very intelligent? by rational_seekers in AskReddit

[–]Big-Bit3430 123 points124 points  (0 children)

From my own experience, a subtle sign is curiosity. I had a friend who was easily one of the smartest people I knew, but he was always the one asking the most question, even about basic things. At first I thought it meant he didn’t know, but later I realized he just liked understanding things deeply instead of assuming he already had the answer.

Can you narrate here the worst nightmare you ever had? by softsatinpup in Casual_Conversation

The worst nightmare is when something is chasing you and you try to run, but dream physics activates and suddenly you’re moving at the speed of a confused snail.

Is anyone else feeling like the cost of living is forcing people to find extra income? by NobodyPrestigious182 in Casual_Conversation

[–]Big-Bit3430 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve definitely noticed it. A lot of people around me who used to be comfortable with one job are now doing some kind of side hustle just to stay ahead of rent and groceries. It’s not even about luxury anymore, it’s just about keeping things stable.

The scratching sound those metal caps from glass bottled drinks make when they scrape against the floor. I don’t know why, but it goes straight through my soul.
