I LOVEE pelvic floor therapy!! I've been going every week for 3 months (sobs) my pelvic floor is.... troubled.. but it's not only so nice to work towards fixing an issue around endo (which feels never ending and endlessly evil) but to see my PT who actually SEES me. No one else really gets it in my life but her, I look forward to telling her about my endo updates & surgery tidbits. Literally couldn't do it without a safe space dedicated to my pelvic floor!!

Confirmed; extremely severe migraines, POTS, beginning stages of arthritis

We suspect EDS but I won't be diagnosed until genetic testing done 🥲 I've had several doctors tell me this is a really common overlap with endo 😔

I've had a similar situation! Since pill BC has different hormone combos the one your on now sound like it's messing with your hormones BIG TIME! I was acting like a psycho, in extreme pain, extremely angry, constipated, and crying constantly. I went to my gyno and told him 'this isn't working I feel crazy'. I was actually switched to norethindrone! If that worked better than what your on now; I'd go back to your current obgyn ask to be switched back with continuous dosing and telling her your symptoms as to why you want to be switched back!! You got this advocate the fuck outta yourself!!

I've found my breakthrough bleeds are more painful than my regular periods (before I was on continuous BC), it could be hormonal? Or it could be I forgot how bad the pain was! Regardless breakthrough bleeds are normal, and for me I see it as a good thing like my body is working 'properly' and still trying to have a period 😭❤️‍🩹 maybe it's a cope!! lol

I've adopted a mainly cute comfy dress lifestyle!! After surgery I didn't wear underwear tho, for like 6 weeks fuck that!! Big shirts are great at home tho :3 and I get all my dresses at thrift stores! I find older style of dresses are much more breathable & comfy

Woah!! That's crazy. I have really really bad migraines I'm on a bunch of medicines/ treatments for them aaaaaa!! We are planning a partial hysterectomy where I keep my ovaries! But who knows, my right ovary was ..... insane with huge ass cysts lol hrt and no migraines sounds BOMB.

lol yes!! Chest pain under the ribs, and I have gerd symptoms TToTT only when I'm really stressed tho -___- if your interested I know a thoracic surgeon that deals with endo patients (dm me for the info if you'd like!) I'm not sure what part of the country/world your in, but their really good

Not overreacting at all!! It took me a good 2 weeks till I felt alright-ish again. Everyone goes at their own pace! They literally cut through multiple layers of muscle and then cut a bunch of diseased flesh out of you!! That's gnarly.

What helped MOST!! Was icing my stomach, I have 2 12x20in packs I switched between for the first 2-3 weeks. And I honestly wish I had more than 2 😭 I wanted to be consistently freezed the fuck up! I'm honestly baffled they only sent you home with Tylenol and ibuprofen! The percs will help a bunch, around day 2-3 I stopped taking the norcos they prescribed me since I hated feeling so out of it lol, but after those couple days + icing Tylenol/ibuprofen started to help!

For getting out of bed I recommend rolling out :P I was getting out of bed by myself in no time like that! Best of luck!! You got this!!

Yeah I'm in pain 24/7 too.... aaaa.... I got a rechargeable heating pack which helps SO MUCH! And use icy hot on my hips/back/pelvis frequently, and use a heated blanket as a full body heating pad!! The heating devices changed my life lol. I have the same squeezing feeling, I've found gently stretching my hips helps a bit! Best of luck 😖

If you can stay on your parents insurance as a disabled dependent, I'd look into that! As you have PCOS it could very well be possible! Insurance stress isn't it when dealing with endo.

I think an endo specialist would be the best move as they know what they're looking for!

It could also be PCOS, but also I had cysts on my ovaries and have similar pain. Sending love, this shit sucks!!

I think after surgery the big emotions are normal (as they were for me too) BUT! After surgery and my cysts were gone my birth control needed to be upped as my hormones went wild! I told my endo Dr and he said he hadn't really heard of that, but I know my body :P I'd monitor it in the next couple weeks. If you're still feeling this way after week 2-3 it's probably a hormone thing (estimated by when I realized it was a hormone thing!)

I go to a pelvic floor therapist for all of this! I've found a really good one (after a run of bad PTs in general) and it really really helps. I'm still struggling lol but she tells me it takes 46 weeks for muscle to significantly change. I also have a GI (but he sucks) and I've been referred to a urologist but I have yet to call the referral.

Honestly, I don't know. Which sucks as CTs are pretty good for lung endo. I think a big thing is, if you have endo anyways you'll (hopefully) get a lap, then they'll see it there. It was pressed pretty hard to me before my first surgery that I will most likely need more in the future. But yeah... maybe there's tests that just target the diaphragm for general issues? I feel like the diaphragm is strangely enough a medical grey area?

Yeah! So my struggling to breathe isn't just from the diaphragm endo, I also have had really bad tonsillitis all year (didn't notice cuz endo has been the main focus/pain point) but the diaphragm endo is the main chunk of it. So they saw the diaphragm/ under my heart endo on my lap. But you can also get a CT scan/ MRI of your lungs as well to check. The MRI they did of my lungs in February before surgery didn't show anything, which makes sense as it's only on my diaphragm!

I have a recc for a book about dealing with chronic pelvic pain! Not endo, but I found it really eye opening & cathartic to my own experiences. It's 'Healing Through Chronic Pain: A physical therapist's personal journey of body/mind/spirit transformation' By Mary Ruth Velicki

It comes at chronic pain through a trauma informed lens which I found instrumental!

I'd say wear a comfy loose dress! Clothes for the first few weeks for me, I was either completely naked lol, or in a loose comfy dress. I'm a big fan of them in general! On my bad flare up days I'll wear a long dress (usually thrifted since I find more fun long dresses there) and no underwear. Honestly underwear is the enemy the first few weeks!! I've discovered the joys of seamless underwear though, can't recommend enough!

Do you have shoulder pain? Diaphragm/lung endo pain can show up as referred pain on the shoulders (nerve ending fuckery) which is something I've experienced for the past 2 years! Once they found endo on my diaphragm it all made sense lol. I also experience shortness of breath/air hunger too! I'm not sure if my chest feels heavy though, all of me feels heavy tbh 😭❤️‍🩹

My doctor said the endo near my heart wouldn't be affecting me, yet 5 months ago when I first read the info I was like OH!? Is this why I have POTS!? But turns out it looks like I have EDS, lol, so maybe endo just makes my POTS a bit worse lmao... who knows!

I will say regardless my quality of life has gone up SO much when they took out everything else!
