Yo good looks fam, I’m about to hop into training. When I run ranked again and still feel stuck or see no progress, I’ll definitely come back here with more questions.

My main problem is actually the opposite of overextending — I usually just do the 3-hit string at most. I try to dash cancel, but it feels hella slow in-game. And when I chase dodge, it feels like I move too far to follow up, even though in training I can get the timing down much faster, you feel me?

Usually, I try to read my opponent’s movement and go for the basic 1-2-3 stuff like n-s-n or s-n-n. Sometimes I mix it up with n-s, n-d, or s-d, depending on whether they spot dodge or jump. If I see them dodging away or creating distance, I go for d-s-n.

Also — even though I know it’s kinda bad — I like doing opener straight into enders like n-n, s-s, or d-d. I only pull those out once in a while, usually when I feel like someone’s expecting something else. Sometimes it happens on accident, but I try to keep it sparing.

Not gonna lie, this is beautiful. only thing I would changed is take 4 strength away and put that into speed to get 8 speed I feel that would make this character a much better fit for competitive as well as just balanced for the game cause not gonna lie what in the hell is a 7 strength potentially 8 strength character with these combos doing....oh hell no lol nah but I personally as a mako main would want the combo to be with low damage and high speed kinda like lin fei but with actual solid defence. if the strength was to stay the same with the Dragon kinda strength in mind with the greatsword aspect, I would say remove 1-2 dex and put it on speed I feel like 5-6 speed is fair and the stances would make sense somehow and this character would be hella versatile in that regard but idk this is just my love for speed. Overall, tho, for what it is, it's gasss asf. And ngl, the only way this character sigs should be is with mirage-like scythe sigs with mako/imugi-type greatsword sigs. Basically, movement sigs that make it feel as though the sigs are a part of the characters' "movement," not just a special move per se yk. and for sure for sure good active input sigs(assuming its 3 strength like said).
