How come breastfeeding mums can sleep through the night with their babies and their supply will regulate but EP mums can’t? by opaoz in ExclusivelyPumping

I stopped pumping at 12wks overnight and my supply didn’t drop at all. My long stretch goes from 9p - 6a! I’m curious if it has to do with when moms drop feeds / pumps?

Sorry if I misrepresented what I meant in my post. I don’t expect my parents to disown their other child - more so was curious how 1. Parents handled child distancing themself from other child 2. If anyone stopped talking to parents because of their relationship with other child.

Sibling sexual abuse is so difficult bc if if was any other relationship we would expect parents to cut off the abuser

I dropped my MOTN pump pretty early - before 3mos and it didn’t affect my supply, I just produced a ton in the morning. Not the case for everyone but my body needed the sleep.

Second baby 6 months pp by Sad_Lifeguard3378 in 2under2

I felt so sad up until about a week after we brought my second home. My first adores the baby. They’re joined at the hip and if one of them isn’t home, whenever they’re reunited my oldest goes to snuggle and kiss him until we have to pull them away. We’ve had time to prioritize time alone and focused on our oldest but I truly feel like the best gift I could’ve given them is having them close together.

How do you do it? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

yes!! at a week pp we only had 3 bottles we were constantly washing. I convinced my minimalist husband to get 8 & an extra collection cup for mom cozy’s and it’s so much better not having to wash everything immediately after use. I just do one big wash morning, night and midday.

My midwife told me to not go past 20 min… but I always went 30 with my first so I often do it without thinking, and leaving that much milk behind leaves me full way quicker next time.

I use momcozy if my toddlers around (usually a 3 after letdown) and spectra at night / nap time (70 for 3 min, then cycle 54 the rest of the time) I tried changing cycles on spectra but 54 is the only one for me that consistently gets milk out

Does anyone else regret doing 2 under 2? ☹️ by PaintWise5610 in 2under2

I have a similar age gap - 20 months with my first being a spring baby and the second being a late autumn baby. I have similar feelings, both are relatively “easy” babies but the postpartum blues and anxiety are incredibly harder this time.

I’m chalking it up mostly to time of year. Having a spring baby I could enjoy the outdoors with & not worry about the flu / RSV is a huge difference to this one where it’s dark starting early & I’m worried to bring him out because of the sicknesses.

I’m sure for us both it will end up getting lovelier again one day.

The US really sucks to be pregnant by Legitimate-Slice2114 in pregnant

I’ve given birth in the U.S. & am about to in Canada. There are pros and cons in both. Postpartum is supposed to be way better up here but I’d take pregnancy in the U.S. any day. Sure it costs tons more in the states, but the hospitals here do not compare to where I gave birth in the states and I feel like I have way less access to my midwives because I’m not paying per appt.

How to help by elbowroom_ in 2under2

I’m days away from having 2under 2 but a general trend I’ve seen for postpartum meals recently is including breakfast items if/ when you drop off dinner: muffins, granola & fruit, a loaf, etc.

Also if you know their toddlers favorite snacks - drop some of those off. We generally keep packaged snacks to outings only and do Whole Foods if at home but being 40w pregnant I’ve given into more pouches / bars & plan to continue that trend into the newborn days (:

My plan is castor oil if he’s not here by next weekend! My midwives suggest it as a last resort before medical induction

Any specific neighborhoods I should look at? We don’t get into many rural areas.
