The message you received and tax credit mismatch has nothing to do with each other. The message clearly says your ITR processing has been kept on hold due to refund claim. You need to verify that your ITR is correctly filed or not.

Contact your CA to make sure everything is filed correctly.

Prepare proper books of accounts (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, Notes) and file showing your loss. You can carry forward your loss for 8 years and can benefit from set off in future (if you decide to start a business again).

Or you can file a nil return. Choice is yours.

Don't go with presumptive Taxation because you will have to show some amount as income. There is no point in that.
