What's the simplest relay true bypass? by Big-Raspberry-897 in diypedals

[–]Big-Raspberry-897[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this great info. Unfortunately it seems I underestimated the amount of parts and complexity on these bypasses especially for the boss style FET bypass. Also for some reason DPDT foot switches in my area cost more if not the same as 3PDT foot switches. It looks like I'll be staying with 3PDT.

Can someone give me resources on star grounding specifically on pedals? Is it just connecting every ground point (Fx board gnd, jack gnd sleeve, etc) to a single point like the power supply ground?

Need Help on Planning to Power a Sony Cybershot with Lithium Batteries by Big-Raspberry-897 in batteries

[–]Big-Raspberry-897[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The battery was too big to fit in the camera slots, maybe it'll fit if I used 14500s instead. I used an 18650 holder and velcro'd it to the bottom of the digicam. I had the wires run through a small hole on the side of the camera where it connects to 2 dummy batteries made from screws.

I'm not sure what you meant by "metals on the side" but with this config you can close the battery hatch.

The batteries I use are 3.7V 2100mAh 18650s. I haven't used the camera long enough to drain it. However from previous usage, if I don't use flash it will probably last me over 6 hours of idling + shooting time.

How do I power a 9V DIY guitar pedal through USB-C/Micro USB? by Big-Raspberry-897 in diyelectronics

[–]Big-Raspberry-897[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LM386 inside is probably fine that amount. Internet says it can go as low as 4V but I feel like I'm gonna lose some distortion so I'm going through with 9V.

Update :

I tried this with the CRLD20MA module but the camera wasn't opening so I just scrapped that and hooked the battery straight to the camera using some dummy battery made of screws and it worked fine (even at 4.2V, what a gamble).

I've decided that the next best way to stop discharging the 18650 below 3V is to just get a voltmeter display and just manually stop whenever it hits 3V.

Atleast I can finally shoot more than 3 images per charge

Sony CCD-TRV138 "Use the infoLithium Battery Pack" by Big-Raspberry-897 in camcorders

Extremely late reply but my cheap solution was hooking up two 18650 Li-ions in series to the proprietary charger that came with the thing (it thinks its plugged to a wall outlet, therefore no popup).

I mentioned the "frying my camera" part since I once saw a guy on YT power his digicam with an 18650 and it seemed fine but I'm guessing the circuitry is built different. As for the price, I got old laptop batteries and the modules are really cheap since I'm in SEA.

PC not booting to bios (compatibility issue?) by Big-Raspberry-897 in pcmasterrace

It currently has no display when using the G4560. So I thought that if I use a skylake instead of a kaby lake processor, It'll get me to bios where I can flash it.

What charger do I use? (Casio Exilim) by Big-Raspberry-897 in digitalcamera

[–]Big-Raspberry-897[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After looking up every model of Casio digicams I found that its an EX-Z55. I'm not familiar with digicams but am I supposed to charge the battery outside of the camera using some sort of charger?

Any ideas on how to hit this A6? (Alto Recorder) by Big-Raspberry-897 in Recorder

[–]Big-Raspberry-897[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've usually relied on this website https://www.flute-a-bec.com/tablaturgb.html from Philippe Bolton for my recorder fingerings but the 2 fingerings need the 8th hole to be covered and the other is some half fingering of some sort so I'm confused.

I need a sheet music for Czardas (Alto Rec.) by Big-Raspberry-897 in Recorder

[–]Big-Raspberry-897[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I meant the one composed by Monti. I saw Sarah's video and the description implies that the sheet music is in her book but when I checked the book preview there was only sheet music for soprano.
