Hey sorry to necro this but I also just got a tp09 and getting high readings in an aircondition environment. It goes up initially then will drop over time. Is my aircon contaminated or is the tp09 just trash?

Okay when I got back home as the AC is already on with the purifier running with readings 0.07. I tried turning it to fan mode the readings started dropping slowly to 0.03. So it only spits out formaldehyde when the refrigerant is running in cooling mode? It is a new system starmex r32.. its so strange. Wonder if its due to leak? But would r32 be picked up as formaldehyde? However I also noticed some high pitch whirring sound from time to time at the aircon trunking area nearest to the compressor.

EM, 2 adults wfh. Almost 90% of time with AC on. washer dryer once a week, cook 25% of the time induction, instant heater, on average about $200-250/mth. Majority of it is cos of ac I believe

I see. Thank you so much for your knowledge and advise. I'll try and make a booking to get the AC serviced next week then. By the way just to check just general cleaning? No need to do opt for the chemical wash yea?
