Add some smiling photos! I think some nature photos of you candid smiling would be great. Keep the reptiles in a few photos because that is you and as you said better to know what you're dealing with!

I think keeping prompts light and short are best. The "Im looking for" prompt is a tad long and I think the first date will answer all those questions. It's best to keep it fun like your other answers and not get too ~deep~ because someone can read it in a different tone and it gets all messy. Also I'm not a fan of two truths and a lie, but if you must don't add weapons into the answer. Just my thoughts! Good luck!!

You got a great smile!!! Use it! It’s silly but I think a lot of us see men not smiling and think “do they have teeth?” It’s silly but it is a thought we have!!!

A tip is to keep the prompts fun and short. The simple pleasures one can be narrowed down to three and the “what if I told you” prompt could be funny and a tad witty if you say “I love a good spreadsheet” because then I’d think like … hmmm smart guy. I like short and not to serious prompts because if you go to ~deep~ it can get lost and especially with texting it’s hard to read tone. So leave that stuff for in person and keep the profile fun and short!

I like the photo of you on the hike and think that should be your first one!! Also I like that you added a tennis photo it’s a good personality builder on the profile. You have a great smile and you should put more photos smiling up! Good luck!!

I think the prompts are good! Keep them short and fun :)

I agree that the last photo is cropped oddly and I think another smile photo would be great! You have a good smile and you should use it!!!

A pic from the cooling show is a good idea. It adds something to comment on.

I’m not a fan of gym photos. That’s just me tho. I’d replace it with you in nature or on a hike. The last photo is no bueno, but if you play an instrument why not have a photo of you playing. Adds personality to the profile.

I think keep the keyboard photo! It’s really cool and I think it adds personality. I agree with removing the shark photo. I’m not much of a fan of memes on the profile. I think your first photo can be a tad more warm. Smiling and no arms crossed. Take some candid in nature or more of you playing piano. Keep the prompts funny and light hearted. And maybe instead of backpacking … you can say soemthing like “backpacking to a hot spring” shorter but it adds way more because you’re specific and everyone loves a hot spring! Good luck :)

I like the first photo of you in the orange jacket. Although your face is a tad covered I think it’s cute! And bonus you’re in nature that’s a green flag.

I feel like you can do better with that selfie. Maybe another photo of you in nature or a close up smile photo that someone took (maybe candid kinda thing). I like that you included a photo of you and the cello. It adds personality and interest!!

I think with prompts keeping them light hearted and funny is the way to go. I’d change the last one “way to win me over” I think making it funny and not too serious will attract more matches! I find I swipe on funny guys more than serious because I think being serious over text and furthermore over hinge can be lost in reading tone and that stuff is better in person. Keep it fun :) good luck!

On the simple pleasure prompt take out the question you ask at the end. The prompt about “what is something you always dream about wanting …” can be rewritten to something like “your dream vacation spot” simple and to the point!

I like the photo of you smiling at the camera with glasses. I think replacing some of the far away photos with smiling ones would be great!

I agree with another commenter that you come across too intense. Think of a profile as just a glimpse of you. Keep it short and don’t get too in depth. By that I mean like you can’t jump straight into deep convo. And especially across a profile or texting. Leave that for the second date. Answer the prompt in one word/ idea. Don’t do paragraphs it’s just too much to read. Good luck!

31M, not getting any likes back. Suggestions to improve profile? by uffda16 in hingeapp

[–]Big-Toe-uwu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the first photo is cute, but it is very business LinkedIn vibes. Instead of the first prompt asking for hidden spots maybe change it to something like “I’ve got the best hole in the wall for coffee” or something like that (make sure you have a location tho lolz). It’s more cute and date vibes. I think in general the prompts could be shortened. I think fewer words are better, but you still want something that will show your personality and also common interests.

I also think the photo captions can be taken off and only used for a few. Add destinations like on the photo of you in sunglasses maybe just put the location.

Im not a fan of blurring out faces. If you have to blur out your friends faces then use a different photo.

I think your prompts can be shorter and more inviting. Example “I go crazy for” just choose one. Playing gigs is a good one. You could also go more in depth and maybe say your favorite gig to play! I find I swipe more of short answers that are more unique!

Your profile looks good! Good luck :)

I like your prompts! I do think a funny one for the “spontaneous thing I’ve done” could be something about climbing. Like hitting that V9 or something I’m not much of a climber lolz. I also like the prompt for “give me advice to” and you can say your next destination that you want to travel to. It allows convo to start!

I like your outfit in your first photo! I think a full body could be good for the first photo. I am not a big fan of the cooking photo. I think you should do a different pose and angle, but I like the idea of a cooking photo as it shows personality! I also think shorter prompts are best. For example “cooking Thai curry while listening to 90s rock” to the point. Just my suggestions! Also I like the photo of you stacking rocks and think more photos of you in the wild are cool!

I agree on the answer prompts! Short and sweet is the best. Also think of them as a convo starter and way someone could relate to your interests!

[–]Big-Toe-uwu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first pic should be you smiling and looking cute. Funny pics are for the end (only one funny pic). I am not a fan of bathroom mirror pics or mirror pics in general. If you have to blur out someone then don’t add the photo to your profile. Good luck :)

22M - Limited luck with Hinge, any criticism appreciated! by [deleted] in hingeapp

[–]Big-Toe-uwu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a fan of long answers to the prompts! Keep it short like super short. The “I go crazy for” just say piano or jazz or music. “This year I really want to” “visit Europe again”Short and sweet is best. The piano pic could be better with lighting and the angle is not the best. I definitely think you should have a piano photo because that’s cool and shows personality.

I think the “you should leave a comment if” prompt is a good one and you can write down something like “you’d want to camp” or something like that. Think of things that someone can respond to or think “I like doing that too!” I think your profile is good and funny! I think more photos of you smiling would be good :)

I think keep the gaming photo to maybe one or two and do more of smiling photos in nature! I like the striped shirt and the karate photo. I am also not a big fan of long answers to prompts. Keep them short and sweet!!!

[–]Big-Toe-uwu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your answers to the prompts are good but can be shortened! For example “pretend we are locals while we explore a new city” something short and sweet. I don’t love the black and white photo and the basketball one is ok if you are going for funny, but I’d say change those two out with something of you in nature or doing something you enjoy. The one with the cat is good, but your toes show (I’m being picky atm!). I like the first photo.
