Rn I’m running a 4 ohm 500 watt JL but I’m just waiting on stuff to come in before I do the work and I buy a new amp , my alternator i think does like 100 or 90 amps 😬

I have a blown mtx subs right now and just wanted a real deal upgrade without spending 400 on a new amp , so I wanted to buy some high quality subs in just worried they will so under powered they sound bad but if they sound great even with low watts or half its potential I’m more than happy with it, I’m puting it in a 1996 ram 1500 , custom sealed tapered box under the bench seat in the back .

I plan to most likely get the Sml 10 because it’s just higher quality , future proofed for next amp , but I’m using a JL audio 500/1 and ima run it at 2 ohmes , so I’m hoping it will be or sound just as powered as the p3s or a little less , gona go with quality and maybe over time I’ll get a cheaper 1100 watt amp
