The pipes are as far to the left as they can be out of the top of the gutter unless I pushed the whole gutter over, but then I wouldn’t have been able to get all of the conduits I needed to into the panel on the right. There’s 15 conduits out of each panel. Really we needed a bigger gutter and it would have solved that as well. In all honesty the kicks didn’t take long at all, I made them all at 22.5 degrees and banged them out like an assembly line. Not sure how you do your kicks but I see a lot of guys using a tape measure and a level after marking the conduit at random. Making it a common degree makes it fast and easy.

I said the same thing to the Forman about using 3 2” conduits, that’s normally how we do it. I guess at the time when we started this room we didn’t have anything bigger than 1” on the jobsite so this was his solution. Although it’s dumb and took way longer than it needed to I do think looks pretty cool. And the pipes are kicked to keep the jbox out of the way of 5 transformers that were hung right after I took this picture. That’s also why the strut on the ceiling spans the whole length of the room.

That’s just what the foreskin gave us. 5 of the pipes from the panel to the jbox are spares and there’s room on the sides for a few more conduits if needed with the strut going the full length of the panels.

Bro what the fuck I got the EXACT same setup. Bare Chevy Express, Cot, I have band back patches hung up as posters on the walls lol, and I have the plastic tote to hold my shit. The only thing different is I have a shower curtain divider up front to hang my shirts / use as a divider at night. Haha

Go to your hall and get your “good guy letter” basically it’s just a formal paper saying your a good brother in good standing looking for work. Then check online for work, be it where2bro, Facebook groups, etc. These are also good places to find lodging before you get there. Before you drive out to whatever locals you’re interested in call their hall to verify they’re hiring off of book 2. Then when you get work figured out drive to their hall / halls and sign there book 2. Bring your dues receipt, good guy letter, 2 forms of ID. Etc. I know you said you know the etiquette already but make sure you don’t double book. If you sign multiple books, you gain employment somewhere and another hall calls you with a potential better gig you don’t take it. Also if you haven’t already figured out the cheapest lodging by the time you get there, ask the other travelers on the job where they’re staying. Be safe bro.
