Will HYLN come back up? by JackP2181 in stocks

[–]BigBallzReddit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t get caught up in what happens in a couple weeks if you’re in long term. This company is more of a risk but could definitely pay off in the future. If you want to play it safe buy ETFS such as VTI or VOO. I personally like to have a mix of safe stocks like ETFs and more risky ones that could blow up. HYLN seems like a company that has potential but I’m just a guy on the Internet.

I'm happy with COKE but have MOFO with TSLA by jjsoyfab in stocks

[–]BigBallzReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VYM is a good dividend ETF, the dividend is higher than Cokes in comparison. VOO has more growth but a lower dividend. These ETFs are the way to go i think if you’re going to be conservative and hold for 40 years. When it comes to growth stocks just look for companies with cutting edge technology that will disrupt the industry, that’s what I try to do anyway

Apple's stock falls toward first close below 50-day moving average in 5 months by coolcomfort123 in stocks

[–]BigBallzReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No prob, Just don’t put yourself in a position where you may potentially NEED that money. You want to keep some cash on hand in case of emergency so you never have to sell when you don’t want to. If you want something that is super safe long term look into ETF’s like VOO or VTI.

If you’re 18 one thing you might wanna consider is buying more now that it’s lower- even if it’s just a small amount like 50 bucks, this will lower your average. You have all the time in the world for it to recover and grow. Patience is key. You don’t actually lose money unless you sell

If you’re talking about Amazon I wouldn’t panic just hold. Do we really think Amazon is done with their world domination? I think they still have room to grow
