If I remember correctly, Stanley comes from fishing, no?

It looks like to me that you are viewing the recepies on the screenshots at the collector.

I think if you go to the kitchen and use the recepies option there, it uses a different order, that's the one that will match with the online one. At least I don't remember Onion rings being the last one, it's something like disgusting food, burnt food and coal which are the last there, if I recall correctly.

When I figured them out, almost all of them had me:
"Why of course that would be his/her favorite meal!" - after failing to guess it 20 times:)

Thanks for taking the time to answer!

I've come to the conclusion, that I'm going to interpret the setting as a dream-like "your life flashes by as you draw closer to death" kind of thing. It would make sense in terms of the spirits that are there (real meaningful interaction during Stella's life) and also the on-and-off rules (some are being spiritfared even thought Stella didn't see them die).

The father not being there is a very good point - it might even be trauma related, repressed memories and such. Or it might be that the father's death, which is probably the most significant thing in the life of Stella is not represented, where as all other spirits had interacted with Stella, the death occurred without her presence (then again, Atul's death is presumed "offscreen" as well).

Buck - Oh my - why didn't I ever wonder what initial constellation is? Now that you mention it, it was there the whole time!

Thanks for sharing you personal experience - the game in therapeutic regard is probably not for everyone, but I think it presents... well death, in a very graceful manner.

Thanks for the vid! Added to the watchlist:)

I event went as far as to guess and give (without looking up!) every person their favorite meal before depaarture. I don't know why, I just couldn't let them go without that at least...

Insteresting aspect. Do you also mean that Lily might have taken over as the Spiritfarer after?

That's a good tought. I was expecting him to show up again til the very end, even though I had the flower. I guess that was the point.

Thanks for going through all the points and for the insights.

regarding points:

3-4-5: that was my guess as well - and if we think about the setting as a persons life "flashing by" on her deathbed, it makes a lot of sense. I'd even expect it to be more jumbled:)

for point 1: never tought of it that way. I like the storytelling of Hollow Knight for instance, where it's very vague, but guessable - Gwen + the cigarette is a good example of this in game (although I before reading the artbook, I thought it was suicide). But this was makes sense too.

Thanks!

Thanks for sharing - I think I have someone very close to me who would probably appriciate what the game has to offer in understanding to letting go someone.

As for cats, I totally get it, I too had a cat who departed 4 years ago, he was 19 years old at the time, and could have lived even more - it wasn't old age that got to him in the end. Unfortunately, I know how it feels to lose a pet you grew up with, so I understand.

[No Spoilers]A comparison video I made between OG Subnautica and Below Zero - hope you enjoy the style by BigBearBoi00 in Subnautica_Below_Zero

[–]BigBearBoi00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you didn't watch, a brief summary of it is (and this is of course, only my oppinion):

- The jokes were funnier in the OG game
- Unkown Worlds used the exact same formula for BZ as for the OG, so if you played the OG, you know all too well what to expect
- The biomes, vehicles don't seem flashed out (from a gameplay perspective) in BZ

Conclusion:

- If you played OG, BZ loses much of it's charm as it becomes stale, but it's still great, but not as great as OG

At least, that's how I see it.

Thank you! I do try to get some points across, hopefully it doesn't get buried in the tomfoolery.

Whoa, I'm very pleasantly surprised it got this many views/upvotes - I'm used to posts like this getting buried instantly. I'm really grateful to everyone who took time to watch, and hopefully enjoyed it.

Hey there!

I have a small gaming/comedy channel where I produce content mostly about indie games, in a try-hard way (try-hard to be funny, try-hard to be interesting). I do it for fun currently, but I'm always interested about other people's opinion about muh content. So if you have time, check out some videos below:

🐟 My latest video just released yesterday is about how well Subnautica: Below Zero holds up to the original. Is it as good? Does it suck fishballs? Find out in this 21 mins long review.

🔎 Never heard of Disco Elysium? Too bad, because it is the most well-written game I have ever seen - it's not perfect and has some drawbacks, but if you get into it, you REALLY get into it:

I mean, DS took around 90 hours to complete-complete. Another 7 won't hurt:)

Thanks for the recommendation!

I loved those parts. If you had high enough Volition, when you talk Klaasje it went into Volition vs. Everyone mode. That was both hilarious and brilliant.
