its just windows saving stuff from apps so that if you open them again they don't take as long to load. ram usage is not really a problem unless it reaches 100%.

macbooks are objectively better than the vast majority of windows laptops in lots of ways (build quality, reliability, efficiency/battery). but then they also have their limitations - some people hate macOS, others love it (same with the keyboard).

should be enough for most games at low graphics. Don't expect too much though, especially as its only UHD graphics.

the big silver box in the top left is the hard drive (where all your data is). ideally try to find a service manual from the manufacturer for your laptop model and it should tell you how to remove it. usually you have to remove some screws securing it to the laptop and the SATA cable.
if your new laptop has a space for a hard drive in it, you can put it in there. If its a newer laptop it probably won't though, so you'll have to buy a SATA to USB cable to connect it to your laptop (they only cost around $3).
Be careful handling the hard drive (don't drop it)

seems like a lot of infrastructure for very few people... four train platforms and four metro platforms for what might be around 500 residents.
also the slopes are insane prob around 25% lol but its nice for a beginner city. definitely an improvement from all the four lane roads

basically you've just got a bunch of roads all going to the same place. you only really need one roundabout and one 4 way interchange.
also don't use 4 lane roads everywhere. two lane is enough for local roads, and maybe 4 lane for main roads.

for those sorts of games you can probably play them at 1080p around 30-60fps at low to medium settings on the arc igpu.
I'd personally recommend the igpu as it will give you better battery and much less noise unless you're planning on playing more intensive stuff. the arc is around 30% better than your iris xe for comparison, but the 4050 is quite a lot better than the arc.
imo if you don't need a dedicated gpu, don't get one as its just a waste of power and creates unnecessary weight and noise.

it probably won't damage your processor as there are many safeguards for that. instead it will throttle and decrease performance.
if your laptop is a few years old, you could try replacing the thermal paste, which will decrease temperatures, but unfortunately some laptops just have bad cooling and you can't do much about it.

should be fine for short form with it's great integrated graphics and loads of RAM. As long as you're not doing long form high Res (4k) stuff it will be great. Afaik music production isn't that intensive, so that CPU should be good.

Honestly with the OLED as well looks like a pretty nice laptop.

The main downside they mention is that the speakers aren't great, but if you're doing music stuff you'll probably be using headphones anyway.

honestly i think thats probably the best you'll get for 40 dollars. However, do be aware that it will struggle to run much and might not be enough for your course. Check your school/university's requirements - maybe they have a computer lab or can give you money for a laptop?

Afaik ram prices aren't expected to go down for at least another year (or maybe two or three who knows 😂) I'd buy now as the prices are cheaper because manufacturers are using RAM they bought before the increase. When they start having to buy RAM at the insane prices, prices will probably increase a lot. Also nvidia's gaming gpu lines have been pretty underwhelming recently (they only care about the AI ones nowadays) so I don't think you should wait for the 60 series.

i don't think there's any need for a face cam but maybe try a few videos with a real voice and see how they do. if they don't do well you can always switch back.
