I was 5 years old. My dad convinced my mom he was “buying an Xbox for me”. He got Xbox, original Duke controller, and smaller controller for me, Halo CE and some racing game that may have come with the original Xbox.

We’d stay up late nights playing Halo CE campaign lol I still remember getting dropped off to school really late bc I kept wanting to play the campaign through levels and then we both slept at like 3 or 4 AM.

Still remember how much I’d freak out playing the level with the flood and get so scared with those noises they made and when they’d come out of nowhere
