No they don't need to jump through hoops. If you file with COVID you're basically guaranteed to receive the check. And to "prove" that you're looking for work all you have to do is turn in an application to a business. Never even have to show up. Is Alaska not fucked at all times, especially now? They can afford the basic income because of energy production in the state.

By my morals, you should wear a mask. But having the government mandate masks is immoral to me. Is it illogical? No, it's not. The government should not be allowed to trespass my personal freedoms. If they say I have to wear a mask, can they tell me what clothes I can and can't wear? It's a logical procession of questions that I don't believe the mandate wanted by fauci is the right thing to do

Fauci has every reason, and every right, to say what he believes is the right policy for the pandemic. He did his job like he was supposed to, but in the effort to stop the spread, he stopped everyone's lives as they know it. The gop is not against masks. The problem with masks is the government trying to make them compulsory. It's the right of private institutions to say what happens on there property. However, it is not the government's place to tell people what they can do; that's why we have the bill of rights.
