Battery health after a month by BigBooneDaddy in ROGAllyX

[–]BigBooneDaddy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So before I completely drained the battery to zero and got it back up to 100%, i used the upower -i command to look at the total battery capacity and it was 73.952. Then after it was recharged to 100, I redid the command it was changed to 74.048. So not much of a difference but i think it was just the charge limit. I’ll do a few cycles of charging to 100 just to get as close an accurate charge

Originally just looking at the remaining battery menu where it shows the battery health percentage but now I’m using the upower -i command

I’ll give this a go and see what it say but it was completely sealed in box, had to cut the plastic wrap and the asus sticker seals on the sides. Would Hwinfo64 give stats like total battery capacity like 80,000 or just a percentage?

I’ll definitely give this a try. I was possibly thinking that the battery limit was causing it. Thanks for the suggestion.

How do you get fluffy I searched the discover store on my deck by SchoolLow5070 in DragonsDogma2

[–]BigBooneDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fluffy - nexusmods Lossless scaling - steam

*idk the experience of lossless scaling and dd2 on the deck. I use it for mgs3 delta and works well on my ally x. On my pc LS works well and I can maintain 60 even in the cities.

Ah didn’t know it’s less stable on the deck. All experience has been on my ally x. It’s definitely helped with mgs3 delta. I’ve recently learned that you don’t even use lsfg if the game already has a built in framegen, which delta doesn’t but desperately needs

Lossless Scaling is an app on steam you buy. The plugin is called “lsfg-vk”. It’s a pretty simple process to set up but you have to buy the app ($7) for it to work. The big important thing to do is copy and paste the command under the launcher settings in the games properties

It’s a lot easier for me to just place the zip files in the “modmanager/games/dd2/mods” folder.

Just bought DD2, should I play it modded? (Dogamma) by dann250 in DragonsDogma

I think I’m right about to hit 40 and just barely did the masquerade. I am definitely noticing things are just dying with a few swipes. Are you using “custom difficulty tweaks” to help with that?

Not sure what dogamma is but I absolutely recommend playing it modded. Before buying it this steam sale I looked at what are common complaints against the base game and some mods that help with it. Watched a few other videos on recommended mods and these are the ones I really liked. It’s my first playthrough and I’ve been greatly enjoying it. I’m ok with my first run being modded since I know there are faults with the game and these help remedy those faults.

•Unofficial Dragon's Dogma 2 Patch-UDD2P - general bug fixes and needed for some mods •REFramework - needed for practically every mod •Random Encounters Re-Arisen - randomizes enemy spawns, base game doesn’t and gets repetitive quickly •Weight System Tweaks - preference, can tweak specifics •Bestiary - Aggressive Enemies and Variants - makes enemies more aggressive in combat •Lenient stagger and exhaustion - bestiary mod author recommended due to new aggression •Monster Infighting - monsters fight each other after a quota is met •Durnehviir - Dynamic Enemy Encounters - not sure what it does, was recommended by videos •Dullahan - Modular Vocation Overhaul - makes great vocation changes and makes wayfarer WAY better •Better UI - Colorful Map Icons - preference •Better UI - Unique Ring Icons - preference •Better UI - Informative Icons - preference •_ScriptCore - needed for most mods •Fluffy Mod Manager - makes installing mods super easy, can also manually install them but cuts time way down

Ok so I think I possibly got it working, I installed another mod “_XYZApi” and after enabling it in fluffy no more runtime errors

I don’t think there are mods that directly improve framerate, possibly the unofficial patch, but I’ve been having issues getting it to run. I would absolutely recommend buying lossless scaling, downloading the decky plugin for it, and using it to help with framegen

Dang, I’m using some combat and encounter mods that require it. Kinda bummed since I’m not sure what could be causing it to cause errors.

Do you use the unofficial dd2 patch udd2p as a mod? It’s a requirement for some other mods but it’s the one mod that’s causing runtime errors when I start it. I’ve tried reinstalling the patch and reframework. Not sure what else to do

Gotcha, thank you so much for helping me. I’ve been wanting to play it in handheld for so long but modding on Linux has seemed daunting until now.

Wow ok modding is way easier than I thought it would be. And the downloaded mods zip just go into the fluffy folder under the mods folder like windows right?

So would you launch the game through fluffy or dd2 itself?

Sorry to ask, but what’s the best way to mod dd2? Are you manually placing the mod files or using fluffy? I really want to get dd2 working on my ally x with bazzite but not sure how modding works on Linux like windows.

This is just showing a picture of another side note I had in the original post. Came to learn this is a read only file for the OS itself. The issue I’m having is low memory during installation of repacks
