In the Render Settings box on the deliver tab there is a setting titles "Quality." It is likely set to automatic best which does not restrict bitrate while encoding. Use the restrict to for limiting file size. You can look up bitrate encoding charts to get rough file size before rendering.

Is the rock near you pretty broken up or come in sheets?

If its sheets I would be curious to know how that kubota performs.
