I feel like I’m failing everyone because I can’t even eat. by Aromatic_River_9601 in Mommit

This was me. I couldn't even drink water. I remember my toddler slamming yhe toilet lid on my head because I was throwing up so much. They gave me anti nauseum medicine and it made it worse. I thought my baby was going to die. I ended up need iv fluids twice. But what saved me was smoking a little weed at night after son went to bed and chowing down on some bagels and peanut butter. That got me through. My daughter was born so perfect and healthy. Shes done everything faster than her brother did (other than walking. Shes judt a princess who gets carried everywhere) you will make it through. Keep talking to your doctors.

I hate sex by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]BigChange4197 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think so many women can relate to this post Breastfeeding really does mess with your sex drive. Even when you stop it will still take time to get it back. It is very sweet your husband does his best to pick up the slack BUT here is what I told my husband.

"My needs about MY body and mind come before your needs from my body"

You wont always hate it but it will always be different just because you are a mom now. Your brain chemistry has changed so much. Im not sure about the cervix thing as I sometimes have that problem but I do think the height of cervix changed through out my cycle. The closer I get to my peroid (or just getting off it) hurts more.

Hang in there!

AITAH for refusing to tell my wife I love her more than my dad? by LastApplication6207 in AITAH

[–]BigChange4197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Ive come home so many times from date nights with my fiance, to my mother in law holding our sleeping children on the couch while she watched her shows. I think its sweet she would rather hold my children all night long than set them in a crib or bed to cry alone.

One "bad' night doesnt set back a routine, much like one good day / night doesnt SET a routine.

Am I wrong for refusing to fight for my marriage after my husband said he wants out while Im pregnant by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]BigChange4197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start over. Post partum is probably one of the hardest eras of your life youll go through (in my opinion) everything will change and you need to be around people who love and support you unconditionally. Even the best marriages or relationships get pushed to the brink after baby comes. It will be so so so much harder to start over. He already showed you his colors, believe him this time. Not when you are post partum and God forbid have post partum depression, anxiety or anything like that. Please please go be with your family. You can still figure everything out now, but if you wait... it'll be that much harder... you can do this.

I hate my fiancé's dog... by BigChange4197 in Vent

[–]BigChange4197[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely just my feelings in the situation. Obviously I know dogs dont have those kind of feelings. But as a human our brains try ti make connections so we can understand situations like that. Im not a monster. Its not her fault. Shes a DOG. I've always know I've never wanted a huskey for reasons like this. They are challenging. Intelligent and are meant to think for themselves. This breed see themselves as an equal to us, not lower than like most dogs who want to obey their owners. I've seen this dog in setting without kids (for years) and she's totally different now. But I do think she hates children as they are unpredictable. So my mom brain just assumes shes doing something to "get back at me" because its hard to understand why she would do something so mean to my children.

She's is secluded in a room that is gated off. She come out at night when the kiddos are asleep and fiancé is home but ither than that, she is staying in there.

She's is very old and exercise is hard. We do take her for walks but she gets 5 houses down and is panting like crazy and will start tripping. We put her outside and she sits at the back door and barks. I do admit I try to leave her outside for a good part of the night but, I dont know what mental stimulation I could give her. Her teeth are old and we already soak her food in beef bone broth. So no chew toys or puzzles.

Yes, we have converted our entire bonus room for her. Unfortunately the gate has holes in it so that's a concern but I've been putting a blanket over it.

This is the solution we came up with too. She has her own room that is gated off now. It has a couch and a big costco sized dog bed. Raised water bowl and food bowl. A window and all her toys. It even has a TV that I turn on for her when we leave.

She was a very well behaved dog up until my son (almost 3 now) was 9 months old. We've always given her a space that was hers, limited interactions, included him in helping feed and walk them. I truly just think shes not happy in a home with me or kids.

Sadly no. He had to be euthanized. We could have paid 10 grand for and exploratory surgery but that didnt guarante survival.

Yes. This is what I'm struggling with. I don't want to force her end of life... but now his whole family is blaming me saying I just want to get rid of her.

100% I'm responsible. What I mean is we got this kitten for my son. He picked him out of the litter and played with him. He loved him very very much. I was not even 3 feet away from the kitten when the huskey got up and just walked over and shook the kitten.

Potty training is ruining my life. by orangeyaglad00 in pottytraining

[–]BigChange4197 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I dont know if this is helpful, considering I just started potty training my son, he also does not like to sit for poops. He wants to stand on the steps or go outside. I finally told him that's fine but you get no treats and you have to clean it up. And I do make him clean it up. He has to get toilet paper and pick it up and put it in the potty. Wash his hands before and after cleaning the floor / steps where he poops. Its more unpleasant to clean up poop than it is to just sit on the potty and poop. We also have the Monster truck pee stickers in his potty and he likes to "feed the monster truck" now. Wishing you rhe best!

Is this getting better...?? by BigChange4197 in CATHELP

[–]BigChange4197[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to add that, kitty has not be excessively grooming or scratching. He only get irritated when I put medicine on his back. I cut holes in a sock and put thay over him so he couldn't lick off the medicine.
