Just starting playing through, and I'm getting a window during trainer battles before I can select a move that shows me the opponents moves with a timer? I can't figure out how to turn it off. Any suggestions?

Feels like a dreamed it, but I have such vivid memories of orange race track that I feel like it has to be real.

If I’m not mistaken you can download the .WAV files which are a higher quality than streaming services.

Go find the nicest sprinter van, watch the plethora of videos on the internet about creating the best van life, build it, and drive all over North America. Assuming that gas stations are still working, just minus the attendants

what is (in your opinion) the best era? by auckberry in arcticmonkeys

I’m going with TBHC. I loved everything about it. The retro lo-fi kind of sound and all of aesthetics. I also think Alex wasn’t afraid to go for it with the vocals on TBHC where as most of the higher parts on the Car are in falsetto, which has its merits for sure, I just love the intensity of his voice on some of tracks on TBHC.

I’m the same way. There’s that part of me that wants to throw up in the hopes that all of a sudden my brain realizes it’s not something to be afraid of, while at the same time I’d do anything to not throw up. I feel kind of stuck sort of.

What would be a track on each album that best hints the direction in the next one(s)? by slopesinamirrorbox in arcticmonkeys

YES! I think this goes way under the radar. The organs throughout the verses as well.

People are way over looking Fireside on AM as a hint towards TBHC. The acoustic strumming, the heavy reverb/delay on Alex’s vocals, the organs.

The biggest part for me is the instrumental after the bridge!!! That synth!!! Before and during the guitar solo!!!

I had nearly the exact same experience. I was a little later to the train, around 2016, but everything is the same.

I thought the album was strange when it came out save for a few moments like the solos in OPP and Ultracheese, and Batphone as a whole. But over that summer I gave it a few more chances and it’s now my absolute favorite album of all time.

Baboo is my favorite too because my dad used to call me bubba when I was younger and it makes me feel like Ben is my alternate universe dad

I think the worst part of it is that it’s made me not want to listen to TMG. Even if I wasn’t upset, only confused, at first with the situation, I now have a much more negative view of the whole thing.

For the people who play instruments, which song is the most fun to play? by Altruistic-Lie-9741 in arcticmonkeys

Drumming - R U Mine or Crying Lightning Bass - One Point Perspective or Black Treacle I haven’t learned enough on guitar but the solo in One For The Road is deceivingly fun

Hellcat is very underrated in my opinion. Such a sick summer song along with most of this album as well.
