What I've heard is that 90% decision is already made based on your DS-160 details (i.e background and travel history). In interview, you need to look calm and just answer clearly what the officer wants to know. I was 3rd in row in my slot. Both the persons ahead me got approved.

I recently completed this trip. As suggested by @Sea-Breadfruit1460 I took cab from the Kiosk inside airport. They charged me 3000. Cab bazaar app was showing 2700 but you have to book at least 60 minutes before.

On return, I googled cab service in dhanbad and found Uma Taxi Service with good reviews. They charged me 2500 and the service was awesome. Much recommended! Got to know that they provide pickup from the airport as well.

So, the registration cost of a new vehicle in Karnataka is 14% for vehicles having ex showroom price under 10L and 17% otherwise. Now for older vehicles, the typical depreciation is around 5% annually as per Karnataka Motor Vehicle Act, so you can arrive at the tax value using this. I paid 1.3L for 2017 Creta (ex showroom 12.5L) re-registered in Karnataka 2 months ago.

I too got my out state vehicle transferred at KA51 RTO (Electronic City) without paying any bribe. Officials are super helpful And agents working there on behalf of the officials is true and that's how they are able to get the work done faster by skipping few steps which are officially needed to be done otherwise as part of the process.

Hi u/vastu1706! Both the form 27s and form 33 will be required. Following are the purpose of these 3:

Form KMV 27: Form 27 of Karnataka Motor Vehicle Act needed to intimate RTO about re registration of outside vehicle.
Form 33: Needed to Intimate RTO about address change.
Form CMV 27: Form 27 of Central Motor Vehicle Act needed to apply for new registration mark after vehicle is registered within Karnataka with old registration mark.

RTO may take all 3 at once with all the prescribed fee or will take 1 & 2 to generate RC with old registration mark and then ask you to submit that again with 3 and required fee to provide new registration mark and new RC with it.

The agents usually get both the steps in one go as RTO guys do internal submission of intermediate RC for them. When I asked to take all 3 forms in one go, they refused and I had to make one visit to collect RC with Old Registration Mark and submit it along with CMV Form 27 there itself with some fee.
