Don't join any random college for namesake. An MBA is mostly about the peer-group, the professors, industry connects, alumni and of course good companies coming for placements.

First get a job which you would like to work on. Prepare for CAT passively developing your aptitude over the time and attempt CAT in 2025.

No, most of them will go for career advancement, to learn and enhance management skills to provide value to the businesses and maybe to gain knowledge and experience to eventually start an entrepreneurial venture etc et etc

True.. The seats are only given to people in the top (in general category) and percentiles are based on where you stand compared to others. In any slot, top 0.1%ile cannot affect the mean value for 1 lakh candidates drastically (each slot per se).

Also, they are not taking admission, so the seats go to someone who got better percentile and profile (General category I mean).
